Thread: 64 galaxie removed from barn 10-18-10

Hello i recently found a 64 Galaxie 500XL fastback , the guy i

bought the car from says it is a 427 (not original motor) however i am having a

hard time comfirming this. the motor has a big solid cam sounds and runs like a

strong running 427. the motor does have tri power. heads are early

casting C1AE6090A, the block has no numbers and has external ribs down both

sides of block. not side oiler, has threaded holes were side oiler bolts would

go. this car has door panels rear package tray and dash pad like no other galaxie

i have seen ? are they original ? i will add a couple of photos. Thanks any

information is greatly appreciated. Kenny
