Cam change...?
Ok...so I'm sure anyone reading this has seen my other posts. Oil dissapearing, low pressure, etc. Well, long story short: I change my valve covers and now my damn pcv can't gorge itself on oil, so problem solved. Oil pressure still hovers 10-15 at idle, 40 at 2,000 RPM, around 50 at 3,000, but me being me, I'm guessing its cam bearings, having inspected the mains when I did my half rebuild (looked new, no scuffs anything)...I just had to change out my oil crappy Chinese (I'm not sure if that even deserves the capitalization) rockers with some stainless steel ones from PRW. So for now, everything's working...
Now, me also being the teenager who wants to go fast...I have one question for anyone who'll give me the time of day: I want to change my camshaft. Is this a good (or okay) idea, to get some more power...or am I completely setting myself up for a horrible disapointment and failure? I have the pump to keep up, the restrictors in the heads, and the valvetrain for it. It'd be a cam change...-1967 Ford LTD 2 door Fastback 390 C6 Ford 9 in.-

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
