5.0 HO w/AOD converting to T5

Howdy!

This is my first time posting in the Ford Small Block section. I have a 1949 Ford F-1 Pickup. The 8BA flathead is getting tired and a hot rod buddy of mine just donated his 1987 5.0 HO Roller Mustang engine and AOD tranny. It's a nice motor and a healthy runner (he wrecked the car.) One heck of a nice guy to just give me the motor. Anyway, I'd like to keep the pickup a stick and don't mind putting in the time to fabricate whatever is necessary to keep the truck 'looking' stock from the interior, with the stock pedals and shifter, but am curious what all will be required in converting from the AOD to the T5. I have the flathead and original 3 speed ready to pull, but don't want to pull the flatty until I have everything collected for the 5.0 HO.
