Yes,I would try and cut back on the intake valve size a little bit just so I can get the exhaust flow % up a few points.Say drop the intake down to 2.02, and maybe up the exhaust valve size to improve flow.A rasied port really helps with the nitrous assisted engines. would also give the ehaust side of the cam about 10 degrees than the intake side and grind the cam on 112 to 114 L/S.Quote:

Does a small shot (say 200hp jets) of nitrous have any bearing on head and cam selection??? Don't know if I will use it, just curious what the results would be.....
I would go with a new Dart block and use the cast caps that come with it.The billet caps tend to expand at a different rate.I would run a Dart block with the taller deck height this would let you play with different combo'sQuote:

Hey Erik, maybe it would be better if you just email me you address and phone number. Would rather sit down and go over all this face to face before I start ordering parts......Maybe I should go with the tall deck 351W and some different rods and pistons from what I've been planning? My stuff is always a no rush deal, I'm retired and just playing with my own toys, so don't think you would have to drop what you're doing to work on my stuff........

I don't know how heavy your car is but on that 408 I would run a set of 200 world product heads , or brodix track ones,I do a lot of those and would make enough power to run 9.90@ 3200lbs with the right combo, your cam should be around 270@.050 660"lift
But I would need to know if your doing a hot street set up or drag combo. You want alot of torque and HP under 7000. so it will live along time. www.racepartsinc.com
