Most definately. Emissions rules took effect that year, so compression is low (less than 8.5).
thanks 76GMC..I hit all the websites I can on the 351C eng to find out specifics on this eng and of course they all have diff #'s when it comes to compression and hp this yr motor..it list 2 351's for 72..351HO@266hp@8:6to1 and a 351CJ@248hp@8:0:1 no Cleveland351....just trying to figure out "exactly what I have before I drop it into my 67 fairlane...in '73 the ChiltonsMustang Cougar book says the 351 cj replaced replaced the 351HO motor..think I should sell everything and buy me a lawnmower or something..less confusing.......thanks again!
I have a 1994 F-150 xlt with a 351 that has started knocking with three different engines, the mechanics say it is the computer that is blowing these engines. Is there a common computer problem with this year and model. what should I do?
