Wild header design on the Coyote
Awhile back, someone did a post with a pic of the header's John Kaase had built for one of the new Coyote engines. Found this article and pics explaining what he was trying to accomplish.

Those headers are WILD! It's a treat to get some of the inside scoop on how they came up with them, too.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Yes, I did post some pics of those from the engine competition. But, Kaase wan't giving much info at the time. They also did much testing / tuning at the event and I don't believe anything was final until they actually ran out of time.
It'll be curious to see how the competition responds next year!

Reasons why I like top fuel
1. Simple header design---some degree up for down thrust, some degree back for forward thrust
Reasons I don't like carb classes
1. Header design makes it hard to get to spark plugs
Kaase's efforts go beyond what I've had to woek around, altho in this case it was to get best numbers torque at low rpm and they had 16 exhaust valve/ports to conquer-------
Anybody remember someone reversing air flow on a nail head Buick with injectors mounted on exhaust ports and exhaust headers snake pit off intake ports between valve covers??????? and the original ford indy small block before they did the center exhaust???????

I don't remember the buick but I do remember the small ford with the "bed of snakes" where the intake had been.
