Followed Me Home, '33 Build
Made a day trip run to N&N Saturday, and this followed me home
The back calipers (Explorer) are dragging on the back rolled edge of the wheels - we put 1/8" washer spacers on at N&N, but they still drug so we just left them loose to load, then tightened them for the ride home. Last night I mounted the third member to eliminate any axle slop, checked clearance and did some creative grinding on the top outside of the calipers for clearance. Had them off & on three times last night before I got tired and called it a nightAlmost there, but need one more pass to be good. I should have taken a "before" shot of the caliper for reference, but thought it was going to be a one pass thing and done
I think they will be OK, but I suppose I could be looking for a different caliper that tucks in a bit tighter...
The last shot is the 347 stroker waiting patiently for a trial fit.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
That's funny about calling out the car models going by, that's one of my early memories sitting on a bus stop bench with my mom enthusiastically calling out the cool cars going by, I was about 4 or 5...
How did you get hooked on cars?
