We Have Primer ..........

..... Epoxy primer at that ;);)

We had a ton of body related problems during the past few weeks ......... and they now seem to be corrected ......... at least enough to get the body in primer ......... finalization of the interior panels will be done this week ..... as will the final sanding of the primer ........... Friday the body floor and rear doors (back of the inner panels) will be sprayed with Dynomat (for noise & heat insulation) ....... the temp in the booth will be turned up and left up over the weekend to help cure the Dynomat ......... the fiberglass repairs on the nose are scheduled to be completed early next week along with prime & sand .......... hopefully we can get some color on this beast late next week and get the body back on the chassis the following week ............ finally making headway again :cool::cool:

Looking great, Coyote!!! With the firewall all welded up and back in primer the body is back to looking almost paint ready!!! Hey, one step forward and two steps back is just SOP sometimes! Just think how ugly things could have got had the poor welding and lack of it NOT been noticed prior to paint!

You ought to see that '32 5W sitting on its 133" custom chassis ........ that thing is going to be unbelievable :eek::cool::eek:

Heck Steve and Coyote, you really like rubbing the salt into my open wound.:CRY: I still regret selling my Anglia that I had build with Jag bum and IFS ,350/ 350. Heck looking at your two just makes me want tobeat myself up all over again. Both cars are looking awesome.:cool::cool:

Dave if i remember rightly you can't use a mechanical pump pump on the 5.0 as its an injection engine, if you fit a fuel pump drive the timing case is too thin to take it.

To convert from an injected 5.0 engine is fairly easy on this side of the pond. You do need a few parts, but everything is Ford and your favorite shop (Speedway) has some of them, Summit the rest

Water pump, fuel pump and harmonic balancer/pulleys, gaskets - normal stuff.

You have to make sure your timing and eccentric drive pin is long enough but that can be made up from a piece of 5/16" drill rod x 1-3/8 or 1-1/2" long.

Bolt it together and you have a full conversion. I chose a front sump pan and a different oil pump as well, but later found they were unnecessary, but ....
