Coincidence!!! Went to a buddie's house this afternoon and looked at his Olds.... Neat looking and would be kewl, but I really want to try to come up with some sort of plan to make the front a bit more aerodynamic friendly. I've got the weight reduction well in hand, and the horsepower will be strong, now I'd like to figure out how to get the thing to go thru the air a bit smoother and my knowledge of aerodynamics is limited, at best!!!!!

They started it Dave! :) The second one is just fugly! What make the 57 look so cool is that big maw of a mouth grill and the boxyness of it all, if you go too aerodynamic it looses all of it's appeal!

I don't want to get as carried away as the Pro Mod 'glass bodies, probably just a tweak at the bottom and some sort of air dam off the lower sheet metal to route some air around the front rather then just stacking up in front of the car. I had a wind tunnel on my Christmas list, must not have been a good enough little boy to get one though!!!!! Oh well, back to the water-based paint and the air hose!!!!
Now if I was rich and famous, that Pro Mod styling of Creekmore's '57 would sure be a fun one to duplicate!!!! Betcha that one goes through the air quite smoothly!!

Wow, Yeah I wish!!! Roger I went through all the articles I could find when Kaase first released that monster and didn't read anything bad on it anywhere.....well, other then the price!!!! If I sold everything else and were to just have one really serious drag car, that would be the power, for sure!!!! But, I gotta get in some more street and highway miles one of these first builds, if I were to go Blue Oval on the '57 I think it would be something like the new Coyote 5.0 DOHC... with a supercharger it makes plenty of very streetable power, and still does 20+ mpg at cruize mph....:
Yeah, the new 5.0 Coyote is a sweet package.:cool: Troy Ladd put one of the first ones available in that RayBestos Deuce Pickup that they gave away - did a custom intake for it and had it looking pretty wild. I remember a really nice F100 truck at a local show that had a 4.6L mod motor, but all of the OEM coil packs remote, a set of cleaned up valve covers and nice headers - I looked at that engine for a couple of minutes and then said to the guy, "Sorry, but I've gotta ask. What engine are you running?" Those mods (4.6, 5.4 and now 5.0L) are wiiiiiide:cool:, and with all of the Mustangs there's a lot of aftermarket stuff out there, too. I think that Coyote is going to be in high demand as they become more avaialble in salvage yards.
What kind of HP and torque are the Coyote's putting out?
