Thanks to Jason (fatguyz) who collected my TH400 from Steve & Mitch (thanks boys) who in turn collected it from Zane at Zannetec (more thanks Zane)
I bought the Art Carr with Transbrake box secondhand with 2nd gear slipping and Zane kindly rebuilt it for me, I would highly recommend Zane he does an excellent job and is a nice old boy too
Over the Autumn i need to strip it back to bare aluminium and epoxy prime and paint Porsche India Red to match the motor and also fit the larger capacity aluminium trans pan i have.

Another recommendation is for Paul at Southern Axles, Paul has raced for years and really knows his stuff, His shop is only a block away from mine so was the obvious choice to assemble the axle parts i had collected, Diff case is a brand new item with 3.89 Zoom gears mounted on a 31 spline Spool, with a 1350 yoke, all new bearings etc etc, again this needs to be epoxy primed and painted, i'm not sure what colour the back axle is gonna be yet, suggestions welcomed.

You could paint the rear housing red with the motor and trans or match the color of the plex windows. That would be striking!
If the transmission and driveshaft are going to be the same color the rear center section would probably look good that same color too. But we usually do the center section in a color that mimicks cast blast steel, sort of silvery.
Don
On saturday i finally finished the drivers side header, took longer than i thought !!! Now the really hard part is making the other side match.
I just wanted the bottom of the collector showing and easy access to the wing nut for uncapping.

Its getting dark early now, winters coming !!!
One would think that with all the tools you have you'd have a better tow strap than a bungy cord. Like the headers
:LOL:Charlie that's not a bungy cord it's a very rare English snake
I thought it was an anti theft device. I better start watching more nature shows.
Holy Slithers, Bat Man!!!! Is that the notorious English Hook-n-Stretch snake??:eek::eek: I've heard that after one end of the snake is wrapped around something and you're just about to hook the other end on something else, the first end releases and bites the hell out of your hand!:eek::eek:
Ive had those "hook and stretch" snakes bite me a few times.....Not fun!!! Glad to see you can tow with them!
Willys is looking killer Steve!
The key to those snakes is not to pull too hard on the tail, or they can get real mean!
