Body off and paint on?
Can't wait.
Thats the plan still have a lil work to the belly pan under the rear of it to do so should be to long before it heads to the booth!
But did a stroll through the local junk yard today and found a set of side seat covers that ive been searching for, these are off a 53 Ford.
And after taking 3/4" to get them to fit tighter problem solved gives me the antique yet hot rod feel still to the interior.

Looking forward to more pics of your chassis smoothing.
BTW, I like the way your car is set up still looking cool with the back wheel in place and no chassis under the car.
.
Worked on smoothing up the front end peices this evening!
And thanks i had it in there just for the simple fact it was out of the way they take up alot of space but i removed them this evening when i was welding.

Looking awesome. I like the 48 cap welded on the ends. Very nice.
A few more peices i picked up to button up the rear end and finally the finashing touches to my custom bend and fabbed trunk props i added the ring bros. adjusters!
Also new LED 48 tail lights, and smoothed up my master cylinder and all the brackets and ordered all new 12 point ARP's for the 4 link and also a new k&n breather for rear end!

Looking very good! Time spent smoothing now is going to make that chassis look fantastic!
Looking back, some of your pictures are gone and seem to be deleted or blocked by the ImageShack - see post #98, 102, 122 & 123 for example. Don't think it's just on my computer.
can't believe i haven't seen this thread before, very nice work, love your car mate, its going to be a real head turner, congrats on the build you have done so far, i will be looking forward to many more updates.
cheers barnsey
Nice little touches there. I also noticed the blocked pictures. Sometimes when I clean photobucket out I end up with similar results!;)

Lots of really great detail on the car, it's fun watching this one come together!!!!!
That's going to be an awesome build! If you lived out here I would be begging to paint it! :-)
Nice work!
HOTRODPAINT, where you at? I've got two I need painted, and I won't make you beg!
Haha.
Thanks dude love to have u paint it for me!
A lot to paint though worked on frame today really turning out nice glassing in all the welds and seems can't wait to see it in paint should look like plastic when all done.
Thanks, but I don't think there is a town called "Hamilton" in Arizona. :-) It wouldn't make sense to travel too far for paint. Lots of talent all over the country. I used to do a lot of chopper parts by U.S. mail, but shipping rates have more than doubled, so that doesn't make sense either.
AWESOME lookind Rod,,,,,,I love the look!!!
I know exactly what you are talking about! I would like to think my artistic ability, or the quality, are the reasons people keep coming back, and sending friends.
The truth is that the "idiots" in this trade make me look good by the way they treat their customers. {:-)
Some people just don't care or know there limitations.
Yeah you dont want paint jail with this rod , Pro you are doing some absolutely Fabulous work on it .
I made a appoint for my 37 and the only thing he said is time and material , but its a top notch shop here and have had cars in a few mags . Its called Hotrod Chassis and Cycle , I have seen great rods from all era's come out the door .
m
Pro, you are doing awesome work on your rod! I love the under side of the hood too. It looks so clean!

Smoothing the frame is one of those really tedious tasks of a build--and nobody ever really notices it!!! Oh well, still a whole lot nicer having it all done and nice then having some car will a killer paint job, and rattle can black on the frame, except where the rust is showing through!!!! As always, fit, finish, and detail is what makes it a Hot Rod!!!!!!!
oooo so close :) what color is the body going to be ?
Nice work, Ditto what Dave said. Always nice to watch someone with such attention to detail! I seriously lack the time and motivation to be as thourough or skilled! But I do appreciate those who are!
Thanks guys it does certainly take alot of time now i know why you just dont see to many cars done with this extreme amount of detail. alot of work but is fun to see it come together.
Should have some more pics up monday of the progress about have the whole top and sides done and blocked by tomorrow and then have to start on the bottom side should be a lil easier sanding then around all these body mounts its a big chore.
Heres the color the car and "frame" will be Green tea met.
http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...llBlock007.jpg
Filling and blocking........
tops about done should be able to spin it over and start on bottom in a day or so!

Can't wait to see that chassis in paint. Man, have you got patience.
.
Well its done....The new cross member that is lol
Had to cut out the center section to ad a removable cross member
and in staying with the "V" theme i made the mount to come around and mount from the back side to accomadate the deep sump tranny pan going on the new T400
will drill mount holes when tranny is placed in.
Getting there .now ill get back to the sanding .
Later GP
