1960 Pontiac
Far as I've gotten- a roller on new wide whites- because I want to keep it as close to stock as possible- replacement parts are not just as close as your local parts store- radiator is back in car but was "in" repair for 3 weeks- master cylinder and power boster sent to CA and are due back any day but was still more than a couple weeks- I seem to be the only one in a rush- had hoped to drive to Sudbury, Ontario Father's Day weekend but even if parts come in and get installed now I'll have no time to road test before heading out- prudent thing to do is take something else- body shop time is scheduled for mid July- small spot of rust in driver's quarter- passenger quarter has a small scrape- for now that is all the body repairs I plan on doing- two pieces of stainless being sent out for minor dent repair at that time- brakes done but for master- exhaust done- tune up completed- engine and undercarriage cleaned- still needs detailing-
Hoses/ belts/ valve cover gaskets done- car sat in this shed-
from 1987 not 2007 as I first thought- all fluids will be changed as well- wife says I should drive it on several short drives before heading off to Canada- hate to admit it but she is probably right-
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
