Yeah, I think the whole rat rod traditionalist thing is a fad myself. Car building goes through all kinds of phases just like in the 80s when everyone was using wild mutli color graphics and painting all the bumpers and trim to match. Never cared much for those. I love the old body styles but I want it to be comfortable, drive nice, have decent power, be able to run at today's highway speeds, and be able to take it on a long run without issues. I do understand the aversion to putting a 350 Chevy in everything, it's just kinda boring to me but each to his own. My thoughts are that it will be a good modern update to make the car enjoyable and it will also make a great conversation piece at the shows. Im planning on smoothing off the Ford emblems on the motor and putting on some Chrysler emblems just to mess with some folks and get them scratching their heads. "It's an experimental Mopar Indy motor that an engineer snuck out of R&D in his lunch box; one piece at a time."
