Well I'm starting to work on my 32 Ford coupe. I have had it since April and I finally have some free time. Just a few things about it:
The body has been chopped and channeled.
The frame is all custom built.
The rear end is out of a 89 Ford Thunderbird witch is independent.
The front is a mustang II suspension.
Hi and welcome to the Club Hotrod family. I don't think that is a '32 Ford body if who ever sold it to you told you it was. Did you get fenders and running boards with it to use to hide that front end? I hope you ain't too tall either as I wonder how much space is in the interior? Sorry if I am coming across harsh but I hope you haven't been taken to the cleaners on this project as it may cost more to put it right then starting with a new frame.
No you are not being to harsh.Someone also stated that to me I'm not sure now, but I know one thing the body has had lots of fab work done to it.
The interior has plenty of room with a little bit of work. It was a race car frame so cutting some of the roll bars would give me lots more room. Thank you for your input. The car drove great when I got, I just like to change things up.

it looks almost like the top has been extended with the way the drip channel turns down. I like to chopped top looks but I'm 6'2" and my truck is not and I don't make many long drives. it has bee chopped 3 1/2".
what are your plans your going to change? we all love pictures if you have time to share.
Its a 1030-1931 model A cowl and windshield posts, but I got no idea what the rest of it is.

You pointed out that it was originally a 'race car' front suspension - if you want to keep the IFS, and on an open wheel car, and seldom IMO is the prettiest, I probably would look for tubular 'A' arms as a replacement. Order a Speedway and their AFCO race car catalogs and spend some time seeing what you can directly interchange dimensionally. With the same mount points, you can probably go wider if that's your choice. Nice chrome springs are in the AFCO catalog as well. Of course, you can spend some real buxs and cut that entire front end out and go with an after market version/system from someone like TCI or Heidt's. I would also sketch in some fenders - a chopped/channeled car with them looks really nice though with a frame like yours will take a great deal of workQuote:
