I took a week of of work and have been working on the 53 all week, here is where I'm at.I thought this pickup was nice and straight, turns out when you get rid of all the surface rust alot more dents and buckles show up. Being an old pickup how many times do you suppose the roof was used as a step ladder and a rack?Hope to be spraying some primer tommorow morning, then I'm taking a day off! hope my pic link works.

Resto or resto-rod?
That last link worked.. The project looks great, you've been hard at it and almost ready to clear another big hurdle.
It's a resto rod, Mustang II front end, ranger rearend, 348 BB chevy 700r4 trans. I had a 52 chevy when I was 16, That was the last time I drove one of these. Hoping to paint the interior and jam it in the next few weeks, then start puting the drive train back in. My 13 boy keeps asking if I'm done with the body work cause he is itching to help with the mechanical stuff, that makes it all just a little bit better.
It certainly makes the project a lot more fun when sharing it with someone special!!!Quote:
