Oh no not another Willys Gasser build, this time a Willys shop truck

Hi guys and gals I have an update, unfortunately I picked up a heavy box a couple of weeks ago and disturbed a small tumour on my spine which sent my back into horrendous spasms, I got rushed into hospital where they gave me radio therapy to sort it but the radio flared the back muscles on the other side which can happen I'm told, coupled with this I had picked up a serious kidney infection which was not immediately apparent !!! Coupled with my chemo it wasn't the ideal thing .
Anyway huge doses of drugs managed to get it all under control thank god, I really thought my number had possibly come up !!!

Not the most flattering pic of me me as my arms have gone thin and lost most of the muscle but this is me feeling a whole load better and taking my first steps out of the hospital bed, all but with the aid of a Zimmer frame, didn't think I would need one of those just yet !!!!

But I'm back and still kicking the barstard !!!

I'm a little stronger this morning and have managed to take small steps with the aid of a Zimmer frame, I couldn't of done this without my Sue, my family, the doctors and nurses and my friends who have supported me through this terrible ordeal , I feel very emotional and thank you all 👍

Glad to hear you've struggled back and feeling better (some?)

Steve, I admire your pluck. Keep fighting, you will prevail, keep drawing from the support of Sue, family and friends.

Crikey mate but you sure got a handful of spanners thrown into the works all at once there!

Get well soon. Small steps lead to bigger ones, and before you know it you'll be re- purposing that zimmer. It looks like a light, strong alloy!

Wow thanks guys for the kind commments, the doc told me today it could be at least 8 weeks rest before the kidney infection is gone as my immune system is so low because of the chemo so more daytime tv to numb my brain !!!
Unfortunately doing not much comes pretty hard to me as I've always been an active doer, brain always thinking about some small detail to attend to !!!
To keep me sane I've started to plan another project for when I'm better :3dSMILE: nothing bought just jotting ideas down and planning but in my head it's half built already lol

And then there is the Tall T Coupe patiently waiting too Steve, but absolutely no pressure from me. You take your time and get those kidneys working fine again as there isn't any fun in not only the pain but the running to the toilet all the time. Been there, done that.

I think the worst thing is the drugs I'm on mate, they sort of fuzzle the brain and it's hard to make sense of stuff but if I can get me strength back they will start to reduce dosages hopefully.

A few months ago I stopped at a friend's place to look at some wheels for a gasser project I want to throw together. He had a rat truck/gasser truck outside and said he wanted to sell it. I don't remember what the cab was but it had some studebaker front fenders and the grill and shape kind of mimics a willys pick up. I really had bad thoughts about buying it to get it drivable and sell it but I haven't went near his town to fulfill more bad financial decisions. I sure liked the work Steve was dong on this truck.
