I have an Offy 360º dual quad manifold in the garage just waiting for it's place on the Vette. I also have a couple of AFB's, actually Eddy's, for it as well.

Hey 36... I think he was a just kiddin' around! But then you already knew that right?!?! wink wink.. LOL.
“…….Don’t do it, Mike! Dual quads without a stick shift? It’ll never run right!.....”
I know right. This poor old car’s been on a downward spiral ever since I added a cup holder. Then it was change from 3 carbs to only 2 (ok so I went from 6 barrels to 8 …..but still) then power steering, now maybe an automatic. Hell it’s turning into an old man car in front of my very eyes.

I ran that setup on a 65 Chevy Biscayne (a proper car with a 4 speed LOL). It worked out great, just a fun dependable set up.

Half a hemi's better than none.......................
Don’t know what’s scarier Bob, you remembering the Cricket or me knowing what it is.
.
In my defense. No comment! 8-)
Okay; I'll be the sucker that bites.
What's a Cricket?
Right up your alley, sort of JB.....https://www.allpar.com/d3/model/cricket.html
I do not remember that car, that's funny.
Looks a bit like the european Ford Cortinas.
I vaguely remember them, I believe they were a gutless wonder similar to the Pontiac Astra and Chevrolet Vega. My mother in law had a Pontiac Astra, Weird little car just a rebadged Vega. It had a little Holley 2 barrel unlike any 2 barrel I'd worked on. Sort of like a 4 barrel cut in half. I believe a good 10 speed bicycle could beat it out of the hole.
As I remember my first exposure to them was working in the Chrysler Plymouth dealership around 70 or 71. Saw a brochure as I recall (the bosses were smart enough NOT to order any for the showroom  ). I think my reaction was just WHY?
.
Hillman imported and rebadged as the Cricket, wasn't it? Maybe 2 years?
Thanks Uncle Bob.
The Hillman Avenger!
That's what we knew them as.
Yes, they were horrible little things.
And no...I never owned one.
For the main part our daily drivers were at least 6 cylinder machines, as they had to be capable of being able to pull a loaded trailer.
Well end of an era for me, the 57 is on it's way to a new home. It went to a friend locally. On the one hand I loved looking at it and driving it, on the other hand, seeing it every time I went out to the shop it reminded me I couldn't drive it any more ( I just couldn't bring myself to put an automatic in it).
Well full speed ahead on the 68 Valiant (what ever the hell full speed is for me any more). If nothing else I'll have to look up a new avatar :D

Good for you, finding it a good home with someone who will appreciate it and carry on your enjoyment!!
Some one definitely got a keeper
Ouch! Such a cool car. Definitely a good feeling going to a good home with a friend.
I'm glad you got to pass it on to a friend so you can still appreciate it.
What a cool old car. I’m glad it will still be near you, and taken care of.
A bittersweet day to be sure. But one each of us here will have to face.
