I love the Coupe look! Great job!
Bolting on the shiny stuff is fun, going to be a beauty
It's looking real good, the green is looking better and better as more things get bolted on.
Amazing how much I have learned, even when paying people to do stuff I should have done myself. The difference in the outcome is that the final result is more professional had only has to be done once. So while I have had help with the wiring, the body prep, the painting, and other areas, I have still put a lot of work into the drivetrain, engine, tuning, and a variety of other small things that go into making it complete. The guys at 121 Rod & Restoration with many years of experience were able to really put the car together the way Factory Five Designed it. I am very pleased with the way it is turning out. Today as we finalize the last few details the front and rear glass is in, the roof is sitting on but not bolted down or sealed with weather stripping yet. The electric window harness will be in shortly and soon we will be off to the upholstery shop. Here is some of the progress today.

Final alignment of the hood and the engine side skirt mounts that allow me to use them or not without having to remove the headlight.

The door latches were particularly critical. I had pulls attached to the bear claw latches. The tended to bind and were very difficult to trim. We've now put in a cable drawn pull with an exterior door handle. The doors are not adjusted completely and the top not bolted down but the latching and handle mechanisms work very smoothly not.

I really like the ability to switch back and forth from roadster to coupe.

Finally got to clean up the engine compartment, had to go from a 3 inch to a 2 inch air filter element. Finally we've installed door opener buttons to allow the use of interior lights

Coming along nicely. You've made a lot of progress.
Thanks, to be honest the master builders at 121 Rod & Restoration are carrying the ball across the goal line. I've tried to do my part
Very nice car and you've got a lot of time left this year to enjoy it.
Getting down to the end of this. Today the guys got the nose cone aligned, worked on the wiper installation, designed and implemented a bracing system for the headlight and the split engine compartment skirt, and mounted the main parts of the engine compartment skirts. I got to sit in the car for the first time with the roof on it and I was pleased with the effect.

More of the headlight spacers and the door latch pulls. The spacers were necessary to mount the lights without putting pressure on the side skirts and bending them inward out of shape.

Sitting inside I was comfortable with the visibility around the car.

Hey it's looking like a car. That thing should handle like a race car too, should be a fun driver.
So Kory went to the MSRA Back to the Fifties and score an "Old Air" AC and Heater Unit. He mounted that and I think it works well with the console

I think it looks great without the fenders, but I like hiboys, so I am a little prejudiced in that way. Nice score on the A/C unit. It looks perfect in that position.
Thanks, we dropped by the upholstery shop today to do a final check of the material against the paint color and work out any details that might need decisions. Kory will take it back Monday and should be middle of the month before it is ready.

The truck and trailer are a long way from home. The car is looking awesome! That ac setup fits nicely too!
Going to buckskin interior, everything except what is paint. Include backsplash, seats, door panels and console.

Nice color combo. I'm planning on a slightly lighter green with tan.
Interior is really coming along well. I love the approach to the roll bar with the padded strip using a wiper to install and remove. We also added tabs to the roll bar to allow three point belts.
