This is mine! $450 delivered. Roof is damaged, floor rotten. I don't have $or time for it so I told him no hurry to get it to the house. You guys heads would explode if you saw all the cars in this yard, and they're all for sale, starting price $400.

It's a Plymouth, that much I can say.

Plymouth, early 50's maybe 51 or 52. 2 or 4 door?

I couldn't see it.. so here's the big version. Looks like a more door.

I'm thinking full frame swap.

Can anyone recommend a good donor vehicle, preferably Chevy.

108.0", 58.5", 58.8" -- 1978-'88 Chevy Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino (El Camino 117.1 wheelbase),
(first number is wheelbase, second number is front track, third number is rear track.)

Conventional power steering, power disc brakes on front, drum rear.

1950 Plymouth is 118.5" wheelbase, 55.4" front track, 58.4" rear track.

I'd bet there is enough play in the wheelwells to make an El Camino work with no frame cutting.

I suspect there is no paper on the car. If not be sure you jump thru the proper hoops to get a good title in your name before you start dumping a lot of money into it.

On paper the El Camino looks pretty good and I can see some advantages to using one. A bunch of the F41 suspension pieces will work on it and it's well supported in the aftermarket. Exhaust kits from the engine back are readily available and should fit with little or minor mods.

If you go shopping for a G Body donor make sure you crawl under it especially in the back as the rear frame rails had a nasty habit of rotting out particularity over the rear axle.

I've got both my wife's 84 El Camino and my 83 Caddy powered one here and can get specific measurements if you need them (might take a day or two to dig them out of the shed though).

It sure looks like a '50 plymouth to me. I had a stock '50 Special Deluxe from April- june this year. Traded it for my MGB. Fun car but couldn't daily it

late '49- '50 are about the same. It could be either. It's not a '51

Title is not an issue for cars this old here in GA, and no emissions testing in this area. I think Atlanta area requires emissions but not here.

I hadn't considered a frame swap from something so old as Tech suggested, I was hoping for something with an LS motor. Bring it into the 21st century proper. I want all custom parts to source from a single vehicle, if at all possible.

Too soon to be getting measurements. Right now I don't have time or money to fiddle with it. Besides, it's still sitting where the picture shows it. Probably won't be in my yard for a few weeks or more.
