Nice 69 C10, looks clean. What kind of metal did you play John?

Where you play at in your metal years, John?
We used to do it all. Gazarri's, The Whiskey, The Troubadour, The Roxy. We sucked  but it was alot of fun! :D Matter of fact the guitar player I used to jam with will be playing our car show on July 14. You should try to make it!:D

Man you played all the socal metal places, were you around in the heydey ,or did you come in later?
Thats me on the far right, my wife in the middle. She's a great lead singer, but we both wish we were that skinny again!
Well, it was in the mist of the 80's hair band days. It was a pretty popular place (Hollywood) at the time, but I think the real talent was long gone by the time we rolled around!!!  :LOL:Quote:

We weren't really a metal band as much as we were a speed metal/punk band. I guess if you had to classify us we had a stage show like Alice Cooper but were more punk/metal/blues/alternative. Kind of like Old Iggy Pop. You know, Search and Destroy!!!
Once we signed to Warner Brothers we toured with Nirvana when they came out with "Smells like Teen Spirit" on the first half of our first Euro tour and ended that tour with a little L.A. band called The Cramps! Did a lot of Canadian tours and saw Japan/Taiwan/Phillipines/Korea along with Australia and New Zealand a few times! For some strange reason we never toured US as a whole other than the west coast!(God Damn managers!!)

I wish I was still motivated to play live! I got so burnt out touring I just don;t have it in me to lug my gear around to play!:CRY:Quote:

Thats cool you toured with the cramps, i really never cared for nirvana though, what was your band called? I grew up in socal , and listen to metal and punk.
We were called Haunted Garage!(Singers idea. I never really cared for the name but I didn't care I was young and having fun!)Quote:

I love Lux and Ivy! They were so North/South! Complete freaks on stage but total homebodies off! I will say that after having heard "Surfing Bird" umpteen times I'm pretty much over that song!LOL!! The coolest part was my friend Nick was playing drums for them at the time so I got to hang out with him all over Europe!
