Hey guys I finally heard it from my own son. Last week I turned 28, which to a youngster seems ancient and to others it was many winters ago. Well my oldest son asked me what the cavemen ate for breakfast and I asked why he thought I knew. Well I figured you might have been there.........his first dig at dad?
Hee, hee! It comes to us all, sooner or later. I almost dropped my teeth, and they are still my own natural ones, when a sweet young thing asked me if I wanted the senior discount - I was only 41 at the time (1983), but my beard was already mostly gray and white. Now, I feel old.:eek: :rolleyes: :cool:
Sounds like he has you pegged. 28 is getting up there you know. :LOL: Pretty soon he'll be asking you what it was like when there were no cars around. My daughter thinks I went to school in a buggy (1 horse power kind). I always thought she was just being a smartass, but sometimes I have to wonder.

When everybody starts calling you "SIR", it is all over. I also hate it when the bagboy at the grocery store says "Can I help you out to the car with that, SIR?" Young whippersnappers. I usually just hit them with my walker and hop on my Little Rascal and burn out. :( :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

What really ticked me off, was when at 47 years of age, the young gal at a fast food place in Washington state started offering me a senior discount. Weellllllll, that was until I realized how much I was saving.
Yesterday, I bought my July 4th libation (twelve pack). the clerk punched in the register that I was born in 1915. I look good for my age :LOL: I feel pretty good too for being that old.

You mentioned that you look good and that you feel good too. How do you know you feel good...did the young female clerk at the counter feel you and tell you "You feel good?" If she did I bet you either kissed her or tipped her good. :LOL: ;)
Duane - That use to bug me too. But now I go after those senior discounts with a vengenance. More money left over for my hobby. Some times I even ask places whey they don't offer them or why they set the senior level higher than 55.
The one that really got me happened about 10 years ago when I was 51. I had dropped my daughter off at her elementary school and some kid asked her why her "grandfather" was leaving. She told him in no uncertain terms that that was "her father not her grandfather". Guess it was the grey hair that I have had since I was 19. :LOL: :LOL:
