with a small car it would help to dump some TQ he will get out of the hole better and i have ran the T rams on the street with small CFM AFBs on them they work good and it will make more power over a single plane with re work gm rods with ARP or SPS bolts have seen them go past 6800 rpm and a stock cast crank low piston weight and a good valve train with the right bottom and clearance it will run just fineQuote:

damn , yall cant get 11's out of an iron headed bbc? thought some of the bad boys did that in the 60's ?
who said you could not ?Quote:

well the 373's i thought would be a good choice, because id like to be able to go race it and then drive it somewhere without it redlining itself all the time
Go with a 80% strip 20% street build 468 BB Iron head and run a 456 gear . That will be COOL . And a tilt glass front end ;) I would like to drive that car when it's done .Quote:

LOL yes glass tilt nose will be in the projects picture. like i say i am doing my homework and gathering parts so when it comes home in the spring ill have everything i need. i want to build this thing to drive! not to sit on a trailer or at home doing nothing because its not street friendly.
Run a Ford 9" rear end and switch out the Center Section to a 3.55 for your road trip . Then re-install the 4.56 for drag racing ? COOL
no way im using that dana 60 i have laying here collecting dust :D
I always liked the Dana 60 rear end . But with only a 373 gear and wanting to run 11s and have a road car . You think you may-be asking a Lot ?
well if an ls6 chevelle did it why cant i do it in a light nova ? :D ill be running a 4 speed i mean if i cant do this with a bbc, ill just build my 327  ive just always wanted to build a 427 and put it in a gasser and this is my chance. low 12's high 11's are that hard to get from a bbc? JEEEEEZ
