I agree i'm on here everyday to see what you guys are up to people are going to have different point of views and bunt heads and its always drama where ever you go it'll pass. and i'm sorry to hear about the grand kids that really sucks but who knows things could get better and you'll get them back.

my lady's X is a crack head to and why she left him doing drugs around the kids beating her up selling her stuff for more drugs cheating on her she got fired from jobs cause she had to watch the kids and he had the truck so she would have no way to even get to work. well me and her been together for a 1 and a 1/2 now and he's now serving 2 to 5 yrs for a dirty UA and got a DWI all while on probation and his brother is serving 5 to 10 yrs for attemted man slotter on his girlfriend. his whole f***ing family is into the f***ing meth AKA crack. why she was ever with him so long is beyond me but from what she says she was scared to leave him. and from the stories i've heard i'd like to meet him in a dark alley. plus to top it off crackhead grandma calls and sees the kids so i have to deal with that plus shes living in candy and kenny's old house and won't give her her stuff back since she left him. so its pretty ruff for her to start over with nothing but clothes which is why she has me she's never had anyone buy her flowers and gifts or take her out. I personaly don't want anything to do with his family and the kids don't need to be around that shit. since candy's been with me she got her GED has gotten good jobs (switched to better an better) i bought her a car to get her and the kids places they need to go.

I must say, you've had one hell of a life's experience. That stuff you're going through with your daughter and grandchild rips me up just reading about it........can't accurately imagine how it's going for you.

By comparison it seems whatever silliness that goes on here is pretty small potatos, though obviously enough to cause you to bare your soul. I had such a moment myself a few years back as regards what went on around here. It had gotten REAL nasty to the point where eventually a few folks were permanently banned and a goodly number of my online friends left, never to return. Having been at the door of the clubhouse since it opened I hated seeing that happen, but it did. Fortunately it hasn't gotten that bad since, and I think that's because certain of the membership take it upon themselves to try to quell these things before they get too out of hand. We'll never be able to eliminate confrontation, it's a human condition, but we can keep it to a low roar.

Hopefully you'll be able to sort all this out and take to heart all the encouragement that's been/being extended. Besides, we old time drag race enthusiasts are a shrinking group, we need you to help carry the torch.

Moon, I am having one of those rough times that come along, too. This would be the third really bad time I've experienced in my life, but this time I found that I am more aware of how my own outlook has been affected. It is hard to deal with all of the stresses, without the "little stuff" starting to irritate me.

I find that it helps if I just think of the irritants as "mosquitos"....."noise".....nothing of any importance. You dont' need to worry about them, because mosqitos are never around for very long, anyway. :-)

You have many people on here who share the passions you have for drag racing and hot rods. Many of them also share your disgust for rudeness and confrontation. We hope you will hang around. There are a lot more people here, that are like you, than you think.

the kids get a bath every other day and she does their hair everyday do laundry everyweek make 3 meals a day weather its me or her whos home cause we both work i just can't believe kelly would say something like that behind our backs to candy's mom. I'd like to say afew more words to her if kelly calls here again.

Moon, I see what the problem is. You're only spending 15 minutes a day here. If I'm here for 15 minutes it's because my wife is looking over my shoulder or the router is dead. If I run across an idiot post, I just move on to another. Sometimes I revisit the same post several times to see if anyone has added anything good. I have learned to ride the waves and dismiss the idiots - keeps me sane.

As for your personal problems, you've been good to have survived. Looks to me like you've got your share, my share and someone elses share as well. Frustration is a major cause of stress, and if anyone has stress, man it's you. Not necessarily of your doing but you still got it. Ignore the ones you can and enjoy the rest. Try getting your CHR visitation time up to 20 minutes, you may find that this place is a lot better than you think. Maybe not, but it will still be good to have you around.

sorry for venting on your thread but its been bothering me but like others are saying don't sweat the small stuff and the police will sooner or later catch your daughter and you'll get your grandkids back. and as far as the crack thing with you in indy meth AKA crack is all over the place I lived in the city of duluth for a while and when i would go out to the bars almost everyone i came across would ask me for some or try to sell me the shit and i've got in many many fights down there with all these wanna be gangster punks with their rap music rattling their car apart and hat cocked to the left. sad thing is its all over the place in duluth and you don't see cops doing their jobs and cleaning up the garbage. maybe there should be some civil action?

Don't let the crap get ya down too bad Moon..... Been there done that on the kids gone wrong stuff and I gotta say it's some of the worst times of my life. Spent a lot of time blaming myself and the usual "Where did I do wrong?" crap...

I guess I just figure I've already been through some of the worst life can throw at me and whatever comes up next is just another challenge. We win a few and lose a few on our way through a lifetime, all we can do is put up the best battle we can for the challenges that come along and someday just sit back and know we gave it our best shot!!!!!

A dear old friend of mine came to visit the other day and she reminded me of an old saying that helps get through the worst of it........This too shall pass....

Mooneyes I can relate to what you're saying about the easy answer being to chop it up or throw money at it. Like taking your car to the dealer- they don;'t repair anything-they just replace parts! It's like someone asking you what car they should buy but they already made up their mind and aren't even listening to you. It gets real tedious to continually hear, "well, what you should do is..." on any forum or in real life. Always some mofo knows what best for ya, huh? In reality they're spouting off what's best for them. Oh. well.

I killed cancer twice in 4 years, yahoo!, but complications and secondary effects have ruined my "plumbing" to the point where the quality of life just sucks for me. Tomorrow I should be lucky enough to be well enough to take my car to a cruise in. On the other hand I've gone months at a time unable to go outside.

I sure can't tell you to hang in there or any other such witty crap cause I got no idea of your true situation. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, man.

Moon I sure do hope you stick around. You have a lot to offer. We are the same age and I too have played host to a few of life's dysfunctions. I think a lot of mine have wound up just thickening my skin. On here I just really try not to take things too personally, after all I really don't know all you rascals all that well and it is really easy to misinterpret the true meaning of text some times. So please try to take a deep breath and stick around because I certainly echo the positive sentiments of all those above.

I have also really enjoyed all your photos; thanks for sharing once again.

Moon I've always respected your answers and I like you don't use this club much anymore. I've become pretty good friends with Denny and when I have a problem and don't want to get 20 different answers(some are good) others don't mean diddly to me, I usually E-mail him . I have my share of problems and I'm being forced to retire from my job, but what the heck i'm going on 65 and I have no back left to speak about, need a knee operation in 4 weeks and then after that I have to have a knee replacement on my other knee. Just speaking my mind because I hate getting old.

I don't post anymore becasue I feel I can't help people with my limited knowledge . When I can help, I do but it's usually Happy Birthday wishes, etc. There are quite a few knowledgeable on here and have made alot of friends, also lost some good ones who were banned. I'll stick with this club and through my 2 bitts in when needed and hopefully receive some thanks for it.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Moon, I don't know you from Adam, but in the short time I have been hanging around here I have seen the value you add to the forums. The site suffered with the crash and may have gained a few during or since that don't understand the difference here from other places that like to flame at will, or downgrade people for no good reason. Posts without capital letters or punctuation are a challenge sometimes, but if you take time to look for the nuggets of knowledge and experience they are generally priceless. Hang tough, and stay the course. We can all help you deal with negative energy that may get thrown your way. I would hate to see you leave because of some pup that does not know _____, and you can fill in the blank.....

Mooneye777, I feel your pain and am sorry for the kids. 2 years or so ago I started the 34.The reason I started the car was I was bored to no end and my wife took over. She knew I loved cars and told me ,why don't you build another (this is after 40+ yrs. when I built a 32 5/w ) car. I was totally surprised to hear that from her,as she has never really cared that much for cars.I began to think about which car to build.I choose the 34 because my best friend had a 34 when I had the 32 and I liked his car real well.He to died to soon from cancer. As I began to build this car I thought how in the world am I going to get this accomplished.Club Hot Rod came to my rescue.I would ask what I thought were dumb questions and the forum would give the answers I needed, without any flack.I am greatful for all the help they gave me and I am sure you were a big part of it.So my thoughts are with you and I am sure you are needed here.Reevaluate and stay.

Mooneyes, I've been around here long enough to remember when you joined and have always enjoyed your posts. Like a lot of the folks that have been here for a while we have all seen the board go up and down.

I know you have a full plate right now and the board has been an escape and will hopefully continue to be. Hang in there and if you decide to take a break from here so be it, but check in every once in a while you’ve made a lot of friends here.
