If you want to use those exiting snaps your best bet is to have a local upholstery shop make one up. Use UV protected vinyl, 18-20 oz.. The odds of finding a ready made that has the same snap spacing is just about nil unless you know who made that one and they still use the same pattern.
Most of the commercially available ones today are made to snap to an aluminum frame work that rests on top of the bed rails, the snaps move in slots in the frame so they are infinitely adjustable. If you wanted to go to one of those you'd likely have to find a more resent application that's close in dimensions to what you have as I doubt anyone makes "mass produced" ones for that old of a truck.
Bob,
I wish that was my ride. It is just an example of what I am tying to accomplish!:p
Here's an example of the frame work mounted type I mentioned that is made for your '77 (they also have the short bed version if that's what you've got). The good thing about these is you don't have to drill holes in the body that can lead to rust. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SNAP-...spagenameZWDVW
If you must have the type that snaps to the body then you're most likely looking at custom made as I haven't seen then commercially in about 20 years.
In my part of this fair country we call it the rust belt - and those screw on body snaps on a pickup were sure to create 40-50 rust holes in the top of the bed. The aluminum framed version is the only kind I'll use and have since they first came out. Any of my "before '01" trucks went either with a cap or nekkid (so I could shovel out the bed when we got snow).
This is what I have for my 06 F350 and this shows one for a '77 F100:
