Flooding Backlash
Iowa Agriculture says that the crop (corn) losses this year will top $3 billion, due to the recent and ongoing flooding. Will we still be able to afford the Cheerios after that hits the food chain? A couple of ethanol manufacturing plants scheduled to start production in a few weeks have already pulled the plug, because the cost of the corn will be too high to make if profitable. What's next?Leo Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the RODS that take your breath away.

That number must be for just Iowa, I would think with the tens of thousands of acres underwater on the other side of the river the total number would be much higher.....
Hmmm...Maybe I should go buy another drum of ethanol before things get really crazy????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave, if I were you I'd forget the drum of ethanol and buy some solar panels. Unless of course the weather is calling for 6 months of darkness.
Anyway, that drum you want has already been marked up at least twice as soon as the flooding started.Bob
