No More TV....joe
Good stuff there . I am still waiting on full HD .
Yeah, what she said......where's Jack Benny when you really need him?????
That's pretty good; maybe she can take over where the lady left off. "Where's The Beef"???????? I think China will have alot of TV's like the computer’s being dumped over there now. If you don't have a HD TV the signal will come and go. That's what is going on with mine and I have a tower antenna. Maybe Rabbit ears would be better!!:HMMM:
Richard
That was great. Unfortunately, for many I think that is the way it is going to be.
Is that the "Where's The Beef" lady?
(younger guys wont understand this question)
No, unfortunately, Clara "where's the beef" Peller died about 20 years ago. I bet the younger people among us are wondering what we are talking about.
Clara Peller (August 4, 1902 – August 11, 1987), was an American character actress who, at the age of 81, starred in the 1984 "Where's the beef?" advertising campaign for the Wendy's fast food restaurant chain. Peller's "Where's the beef" line became an instant catch phrase, with even presidential candidate Walter Mondale using it. Despite the immense popularity of the advertising campaign, Peller was fired by Wendy's in 1985 after declaring that she had "found the beef" in an advertisement for Prego Plus pasta sauce.[1]
Here is her claim to fame:
