Oops, seems to be an echo in here...:D
The interesting thing is that while the U.S. consumer is presented with almost everything made in China, I have read some articles that show the Economic slowdown is effecting China more than the U.S. since their economy assumes they can sell much of their goods to the U.S. The problem is that much of the U.S. heavy industry has disappeared and it has been noted that China does not have much of what is called service industries but it would seem to be difficult to buy a Chinese motorcycle with McDonalds cheeseburgers due to the distance involved. I like the business model where the Harley Davison employees bought and own the company. When the employees own the company there is much less of the them/us conflict between employer and unions and a lot more cooperation. Maybe Chrysler should offer the company shares to the workers since it looks like Chrysler is in the weakest position among the auto companies at the moment.

I think they should bring the companys back home to the USA so we the people of the US can have JOBS thats my 2 cents worth And I'm not sorry to say they messed up when they left the US now no one has a job to buy there stuff when they ship it back
No one would rather see things the way they use to be more then me. It would take more time then most of us have left to see the Steel Mills, Factories, manufacturing the way it was back in the 50’s and early 60’s. This was the last frontier. The Old West is gone. Greed took over, we have more but enjoy it less for the most part, and we are loosing that now in record numbers. I was at a discount store the other day, they use to have bargains from slightly damaged goods or close outs, now 95% of the inventory is China s-it. I found a box that had some odd piece’s like drill bits (Vermont American) I picked through and when I saw a bit with made in the USA it went in my cart. We will never see quality in this Country again. I wish I were wrong.
