Come on down, Dave!

Memo to Dave Severson:

You haven't mentioned your plans to relocate to Texas for a few weeks, Dave!

The economy here is still comparatively good and the racing is good and the fishin' is good.

The weather is also good. It was 105 degrees yesterday but it has cooled off a little (like, only 104 today) so what's the delay?

I might suggest, though, that you don't come next month because it begins to get HOT in August!

last time i was in TX is was 110 +:eek: that was june.hell if i want i can set the oven to 250 and stick my head in there and think TX . save money on a trip :3dSMILE:

I'll take the 100 degree weather any time over the crap we've had for the last two months. Mostly rain and 68-72 degrees. No summer this year.:CRY:

Ain't that something? The Northeast is suspose to get colder in the summers, but the winters will be milder. The west,central, and midwest will get warmer and drier with little or no rain. Guess that means alot of forest fires:confused::(. Where we want to move to Cody, Wyoming, the summers are alot warmer than NYS, and that part of Wyoming only gets about 12" of snow in the winters. Of course with yellowstone only 30 miles away and yellowstone being a big volcano, my luck if and when we move it will probably go BOOM.**)

Lots of work to get finished up here first.... Won't be til late fall....

I'll enjoy 105 in the summer a whole lot more then I will the -25 in the winter up here!!!!

Summer is the bad season in FL, we treat it like winter, you just run from AC to AC and don't work outside- except you don't freeze to death. But the other 9 months are really nice and we don't need snow tires.

We are in drought conditions in central Texas.Lake travis is at a 25 year low with no rain in site.The weather people are saying EL' Nino is now starting to show and rain will be coming in the winter months.The LCRA that controls the water here in centeral Texas from the Colorado River are getting a little worried.

We are on a watering schedule here in Austin and some areas cannot water their yards at all.Been in Austin since 68 and it seems to get hotter and drier each year.We are setting record heat temperatures every day.My water bill runs around 200.00 dols.,electric about the same per month during the summer and being on fixed income I may be moving to a more desirable location this fall,any suggestions?

Dave might want to consider which is better , burn or freeze.LOL,LOL

The economy is better than most places at the present. So not all is bad.

Pray for rain soon.

Lived in Cody for a few summers! Nice quiet city. It was always cool when Sturgis was running. The mainstreet downtown was full of Bikers(Iron horses):D
It is located ideally to travel to Yellowstone, etc.., has a nice river running through it for great fly fishing. I do miss it there.

I'll take the heat Don.... The cold weather up here leaves me absolutely crippled.... Anymore, i get chilled to the bone in November and never seem to get warmed up til May!!!!:confused::confused::confused: Plans are for a really good A/C unit for the shop!!!!!:LOL::LOL::LOL:

9 months of nice weather and 3 months hot beats the opposite 9 months cold, 3 months nice. Plus, no rust belt cars. In the summer, you just go from AC to AC, and try not to go outside at all, and know if you do you are going to sweat your a## off, but not die. Dry heat is way better than humid. 95 humid is worse than 110 dry, I used to go to Vegas every summer from Florida in the military.

That's what I like about Arizona. Dry as a powdered fart.
