Had to contemplate wearing jeans to work today. Last night leaving work at 11:30 p.m. it was in the fifties and a we bit cold in the shorts and tee shirt I wore into work at 3:00pm.
After one last heat spell with temps in the 100 range, we are getting cool mornings and pleasant days! For me it's a Get Your A@@ in gear alarm to finish geting all the body metal coated in epoxy primer!:3dSMILE::3dSMILE::3dSMILE:

My engine room was 135 all summer.... it finally cooled off to 124 degrees.

Dan and I left at 5 AM yesterday to drive my 23 to Tampa and we had long sleeve shirts on. After a while Dan asked me to stop so he could buy a sweatshirt, he was shaking from the cold. :3dSMILE: So we did, and he comes out with this hooded, fleece lined jacket and gloves. What a change from just a week or so ago.

Acclimatization! I still remember the first time we visited Florida and took the kids to Disney. It was in the 50's and we were wearing short sleeves and thoroughly enjoying the warm weather (-20's when we left home.) The locals were bundled up in ski jackets with the hoods up.
That is absolutely right! We moved to Florida one year in February, and we were immediately swimming in the pool at the hotel when we got here. One year later my Sons and I were out fishing and as we were coming back into shore we were all bundled up in long underwear, shirts, jackets, gloves and wool hats. But on the beach we were passing lots of tourists who were merrily splashing away in the water!:LOL: I guess it doesn't take long for our blood to thin out.
