Fall is FINALLY here!!!!!!!
It looks like cooler weather has finally arrived, at least here in So. Florida. The last week has been perfect. This Summer was brutal, but last night it was actually a little chilly at the shop around midnight, and even the days are only in the high 80's. Sure is nice.
Is is cooling off where you all live too?

Our weather in the heartland has been beautiful for the past week - low to mid 70's with cool nights, even a couple down into the mid 30's. Problem is Fall leads to Winter - wish we could extend October for about two months, then have a few weeks of frigid temps to kill all the bugs, then into SpringRoger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I used to travel to New Bedford a couple times a year generally before or after the trees changed colors. I never got to see it. They say it is awesome. Should be happening about now?

Kinda true, but it has cooled off a lot. Last week it was in the high 90's and overnight it dropped into the high 80's. The nights were even unbearably hot for a lot of the Summer, even at 3 or 4 am, but this past week they have been in the low 70's, maybe even the 60's. That is why I have been staying at the shop until early morning, I can get so much more done now that it's cool.I hate sweating onto whatever you are working on, rusts the metal instantly.
Dan and I are leaving for the Street Rod Nats in Tampa at 5am tomorrow morning in my T, bet we have to wear jackets.

The leaves are gold and there is snow on the mountain tops.
Picturesque.
Nice place for a fall cruise in the rod.

I wish we knew each other then! It would be great to meet! Colors are coming, maybe another week or two... Next week we begin picking our cranberry crop and that always looks great against the tree colors too!
After the past 4 days of rain and fog and wind, the suns out and the temps are going into the mid to high 70's, just the best time of year for me!Last edited by 34_40; 10-08-2010 at 05:05 AM. Reason: edit

Had to contemplate wearing jeans to work today. Last night leaving work at 11:30 p.m. it was in the fifties and a we bit cold in the shorts and tee shirt I wore into work at 3:00pm.
After one last heat spell with temps in the 100 range, we are getting cool mornings and pleasant days! For me it's a Get Your A@@ in gear alarm to finish geting all the body metal coated in epoxy primer!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Arizona too! Our monsoon season ended. Daytime temps fell about 10-15 degrees, to the 80s, and night temps in the 50s. Feels great!

We know that fall has arrived when the acorns drop - and this year, millions and they are huge. Until the storm this past week, I haven't been able to go into the yard and even today raking still got hit once. Between them and the wooly bear caterpillars and their short brown large black coats are telling me that thiw is gonna be a long hard winter.
