Today is the day that the US for all intents, "shuts down". Do you care?
In a word.................no.
Well, being from Pittsburgh originally.............YEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D We're having a little family Superbowl party here, so I've got to get housecleaning and cooking. I'm not a football fanatic and don't follow the games much during the course of the year, but I do watch what the Steelers are doing, especially when they are getting close to the end of the season.
Don
Same word............no.
It was amazing several years ago when i took the coupe out during game time, not a car insight in the intersecton, and one up the street commng towards me. everything deserted..
That's today? I'll be watching You Tube videos of garbage trucks, Fire trucks & fast fast cars with my 3 year old grandson on the I-Pad. Maybe an afternoon nap too.
The only reason I would be watching it is IF the wife is awake. But then again I can always get up & find something better to do like pick the fuzz out of my belly button, clip my toe nails or even better yet watch paint dry....joe
NO!!! Not today, tomorrow or ever.
STEELERS......................... :D:D:D I wouldn't bother watching otherwise. It may seam contradictory but I am a Steelers fan not a football fan. But there's not much on Sunday nite to watch anyhow..........
i will be in the shop working on my shop truck project.
i hate... i mean i HATE football. especially the cowboys since my bride watches them. when they play it's off to the shop or early to bed.
i will record it for the commercials though .... :) i miss the frogs and Louie the lizard .
Living here in Dallas Iam sick and tried of the super bowl. I hope it never does come back to Jerry World. So in two words Hell no.
I would rather mow the yard!
I never found bowling to be all that super.
Russ
The best thing about super bowl sunday is all the roads, streets, and hiways are empty.
The weather here is nice, time to take the roadster out for a nice long drive.
What's the superbowl? Chili?
Sorry....Got a couple things in the shop to move along. :-)
Now if drag racing was on...
Personally, I think when the Steelers win this one today should be declared a National Holiday. Who needs all those Presidents Birthdays anyway?:LOL::LOL::p
Don
I stopped watching Pro Ball when they gave Landry the shaft but lately I have started back because of watching Colt McCoy, Vince Young, Tim Tebow and other College players that I watched thru their College career. This year I became a real fan of Aaron Rogers and the fact that two "old franchises" are head to head makes it interesting to me. However, if it starts to be a blow-out then I'm outa there!
"GO PACKERS!"
me and my family are watching. each one of us makes our favorite snack then set down to watch the commercials. I am rooting for the packers today.
Based on what I am reading in the thread, hotrodders aren't much for football. Personally I like football even though some are overpaid. I as stated by Melloyello watch football both College and Pro to keep up with the players that I want to see do good. Colt McCoy is a prime example.:3dSMILE: :3dSMILE:
I just hope Budweiser has some decent commercials - I just watched the "best" from years past and the Bud commercial with the streaking sheep won. I like the frog versions as well. There was a 'sneak peak' and Pepsi has one good one for this year and of course, Bud. Oh yeah, the game - probably watch some of it but probably not the whole game. Before my knees gave out, I used to go skiing - no lift line, the hill was virtually empty:3dSMILE:
As for me...I'd rather shovel snow. And there's nothing I hate worse than shoveling snow.
I, too, am in that one word group; lost interest in most sports years ago for some unknown reason; well, actually, several known ones, but I won't grouse about it here.:(
Halftime - - - good game so far.
Is it just me, DW, or did the commercials pretty much el sucko?
3 mil for a 30 second spot. How many widgets do you have to sell to break even on that deal?
BTW: Anybody that would rather shovel, come on down.

Never set through more than a couple minutes of any type of ballgame in my life. Even in high school band when attendance was mandatory me and the girlfriend could be found else where when we weren't playing music.
So, no. I couldn't care less. I do watch Thomas the Tank Engine on Saturday morning though.
So far the commercials have been lame at best, I miss the frogs and Louie.:(
I have the game on not 4' from my right ear as I type on the 'puter. I don't know how it's gettin' by me but it seems every time I look up at the screen the score has changed. I thought I was paying closer attention than that. I promise to do better.
I watched the first half because my daughter guilted me into it. Otherwise, I'd be in the garge with the game NOT on. Funny, I don't usually have NASCAR on the garage TV either. I do try and watch drag racing, but I'm not big follower and couldn't tell you more than a handfull of the top names. Guess I'm not much of a sports fan. Oh well.
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, it's over......
It's what? oh.....ahh.... O.K. I'm really going to concentrate on the post game stuff. I gotta' go to bed soon. :o
I should have been watching paint dry too.:o ##**$*>>!! Steelers!!!
Oh well, at least having the family over was good and the food was pretty good too. That's what really counts. :)
Don
Shoot. I missed post game.
