Sema 2011

The show appeared to have improved attendance. Every time I tried to take a photo, some yahoos would walk in my view and mess up the picture.

Note that Ken is a month younger than Uncle Bob....only one month but he is much faster and Ken's picture blurrs from the speed while Bob, being older and slower is captured easily.

The Deuce built by Dave Lane (see this month's Street Rodder magazine) was fantastic. In all, there were quite a few nice cars (as usual) plus some real disappointing stuff. The neat new product is the injection setup from MSD. It appears to be a Holley shaped unit and the ECM is embedded into the body....no separate controller. The unit is list price of $2400, I think. It has 4 injectors (obviously a batch unit).

Thanks for the pic Mike!!!! I've heard from reliable sources that sometimes you have to line up your sight of Uncle Bob with a tree to see if he's moving at all!!!!! Guess this proves it...

With so many projects going at the same time, I can see why Ken would be just a blur.

Mike, I didnt take but 3 pics.....I guess I wasnt motivated this year. GM had a really neat display of
yesterday's engines....they had a series of engines that all looked brand new...a 4bbl 265, a 375 hp 327 fuelie
from 1965, a 396, etc......a series of Chevy high performance history.

Do I have to tell my old bull/young bull story again? It's called conserving energy..................I've been doing it that way since before it was trendy!!

We had a fine time together walking the show. I didn't take any pictures this year for whatever reason. As Mike mentioned it looked like attendance was up, and, unlike the past two years, there weren't a bunch of empty booth spaces. Didn't ask around if the rental fees had been reduced to motivate, or if it's just that the marketplace is beginning to sort out. Whatever the reason(s), good to see a healthier appearance. As usual, as I look at other postings around the web from folks that were there, I missed a lot. There's just an awful lot to look at there.

Just got back from SEMA. Worked the whole show at the booth in the south hall......Evans cooling.......Was blown away with everything I saw and will post pics soon.
Found out some SEMA trivia............if you walked every aisle in every hall, you would walk 37 miles. It's 20 acres under roof.

Wanted to say.....had one of members of this forum stop by and say hi. I met Nz hot rod........he and his wife stopped by to show me some pics of his green willys and that he just bought a 29 . Was cool to finally put a face to someone you only get to talk to online.

Kool,,we met Roger and Lorie earlier this year,when they came home to do the Beach hop..Cruised around in one of his friends cars..A 32 roadster.. Nice people..

Talked with one of the janitors cleaning up after the SEMA show... Bob is about 5 steps away from the exit door now! They're expecting him in the bar about noon tomorrow!!!!
