kind of the same way in drag racing .. after the "chase " started larry morgan qualified more times in the top half of the field and would easily have finished in the top ten but was left out ...racing is a season long venture .. if not why bother with the first half ..
For me Nascar and the "chase" format is kinda like being a republican here in Massachusetts! No matter how I vote, my guy ain't gettin' in! ROFL..
I guess the theory that had been around since the chase when into effect was, if you're the best for the first part of the year, then those last 10 races shouldn't be any different. Well there goes that theory! LOL..
