Most of us have little to no faith in today's lapdog media, and for good reason. However, this video might impact you like it did me. Here is a young woman with guts and integrity. If her name sounds familiar it might be because she was assaulted in the streets of Egypt last year, yet she still does her job. I'm sure she and I don't see the world exactly the same, but on this subject she's showing great integrity. She gave this presentation within the past couple days, so it's very relavent to today when the Pres brags that ".....Al Queda is on it's heels...". The money line of her presentation is in the last two minutes, but it's worth your time to watch it front to back, very revealing: Lara Logan 2012 BGA Annual Luncheon Keynote Speech - YouTube
There's one of these going on at HR.com and I've been expecting it to end up in the "Dump" for over two weeks but it's still going. Let's behave ourselves and make this one here last until there's no more interest and show that this Forum does indeed have more class and consideration for their fellow members than the others.
Most everyone posting basically wants the same thing for our great Country but has different views about how to achieve that goal. After all, isn't that what "IT'S" is all about?
meller
(couldn't find my soapbox so I just tippy-toed :))
MelloYello, put your shoes back on! Don't want you catchin' a cold! :)
I "found" that thread that you and IC2 referred to but to be honest, I couldn't even read a whole page! It's the same with this thread. If I hadn't participated with a couple, 3 posts at a time, or maybe a page a day when I returned from traveling, then I would've passed it by.
I know that it's the same old tactics by both parties, the name calling and mud flying on both sides.. But even our local races are just so nasty and vicious... Scott Brown (who took Ted Kennedy's seat) and his challenger have done nothing but call each other liars and worse! Not one moment yet of what they're plans might be or any mention of an issue and where they stand! It's so crazy! I can't wait for the debate this weekend for those 2..
I think the elections this year will have even more historical ramifications than the last. We'll see.
yeah Dave, it has gotten a little repetitious as of late and D.O. just keeps on confirming what everyone expects he is but I like to jump in and muddy up the waters every now and then, knowing full well it's like spitting into the wind.
LMAO - - - was it the smell or the tippy-toes that gave me away?
Bob, at over 19 minutes that's an investment that many might be tempted to skip, but it's truly a breath of fresh air to see that there are indeed some true journalists remaining in the media. Her message if also crystal clear that we have been lied to, and continue to be lied to on a daily basis by the talking heads that are only there for personal glory, and those feeding them with BS.

Emmett, since you were here in the Spanish Colony of Texas during the primary election to fill the seat of the retiring Senator Hutchison, I think you will agree that two intelligent and qualified candidates (Cruz and Dewhurst) slung more mud (or something that looks like mud) at each other than you and I can remember. I briefly considered not voting for either of them. I can be an old sorehead sometimes but I appreciate civility, and for that reason I have my wife read stuff I write (well, most of it). She is quick to let me know when my language gets too salty or if it appears to be an intentional effort to PO somebody.
I appreciate Bill's efforts to maintain civility.
