Never have figured out what to do with my left leg in automatic cars, it just keeps wondering aimlessly around the footwell!!!!!
the 351 would sure go nice in a early Ranchero, nice to find a '57 or similar to put all the leftovers in!!!!!!

For all intents and purposes, the Mustang is about done. I got the Edelbrock heads changed over to the 77 smoggers. The Edelbrock heads lasted about a week on CL, so I probably won’t be tempted to build another Windsor for a while (but that’s OK, I think there WILL be another Ford project at some point, just not with a Windsor....how’s that for a teaser) LOL.
Visually, the car looks about the same as it did 10 years ago when I first put it together, but man it is really is not near as much fun to drive, (although the wife is happy as heck with it).....definitely more peppy than the 2.3 in her 74 or even more the 302 Cobra II she used to have. But nothing like it used to be with Edelbrock heads and 4 speed. Oh well, if we didn’t do this with it, it would have just sat in the back shed collecting dust.

There are still a couple of small issues to be sorted out. It’s been close to 100 degrees here the last week or so and without the overdrive to slow the engine down it’s running a bit warmer than I like to see it at highway speeds (even with a new radiator), and I’m picking up a little vapor lock after it sits.

I’ll get it back in the shop next week sometime and take care of the vapor lock by running a fuel return line. For the cooling I’m kind of limited on what I can do. I prefer a mechanical fan but there is just not enough room for run a clutch fan (my first choice), and with the flex fan at the higher RPM I think the blades a flattening out and just not pulling enough air, so I guess I’m looking at electric fan(s). Anyone have any suggestions on either an OE (junk yard) or aftermarket unit?
