What a big step he is taking! His adventures are just beginning! I would like to see the looks on his new buddies faces when he tells them about his wrench turning mom who loves hot rods and put a cadillac motor in a monte. They will all be wanting to come home with him for a visit.:3dSMILE:

He'll only be about 90 minutes from me. If he needs anything that I may be able to provide, please don't hesitate to ask! OK?

That's a fine looking young "hero" you raised there Barb.
Please give him my Congrats also along with my appreciation
for his Patriotism and for his service to "our" Country.

Hey, Barb, thanks. We haven't had a "Charlie report" for quite a while.
Glad to hear he went Navy. My kind of man!

Congratulation to Charlie, and you folks, too. I know how proud you are of him.
Like Uncle Bob said, this made me smile. It also took me back some 52 years, when I looked sort of like that on graduation from Navy Boot in San Diego.

Boot camp food leaves a lot to be desired so I can understand the steaks. He picked a field not many can hack and I wish him all the luck in the world as it takes a special type of person to be a submariner. It's obvious he was brought up well, kudos to you and your husband Barb.
