The girls are off trick or treating, thought I'd put up a picture, looks like we have one angel and one princess!!!!!
They both look like angels to me - - - - Sherry is just ooooo'n and awwwww'n and wanted to know - - which is which, Grandpa?
Tonight will be the FIRST time that we have ever had Trick or Treaters but we always lived in the boonies until last May.
Sherry's got a big (er uh huge) bowl of candy and one emergency econo package and then, if we run out, I'm turning the sprinkler on in the front yard hahahahaha
Lexi is in the green outfit, she's 2. Lisha is in the blue, she's 4.
and yes, they are both my angels!!!!
The girls look great and appear to have come a long way. What happened to your SNOW.
That is just too cool Dave. Those kids are right where they belong!
.
They look so much different from the first time we saw them; now, just normal little girls. Hope they get lots of loot, and have a good time.
I don't follow pagan festivals and we only had two little kids knock at the door last night who looked absolutely gorgeous in their costumes but sadly I didn't have anything for them. Your two little girls have changed so much from the two little underfed little mites that you took in, congratulations to you both Mrs & Mr Dave Severson.
Looks like two Angels to me too.
I know the girls had fun but I"m sure glad it's over - - - - especially the TV programs - - - - I never liked SPOOK movies and they've been running them everywhere for almost a month - - - - - ?Can you OD on chocolate?
Me too Emm, been nothing but really dumb movies on for a month!!!! The girls had fun, they met up with some of Lisha's classmates at an assisted living home and entertained the residents. Jackie said it was tough to tell who had more fun, the residents or the kids!!!!
See, I told you they were both "Angels" - - - - X2 on Bob's Comment
If I may also add that the "Best" Cruises I have ever been on were the ones that ended up at a Retirement Facility or Children's Home - - - - and I never minded seeing any of them run their hands over the paint and smile. Can you believe that they actually thanked us when we were having the most fun of all?
Zero trick or treaters here in Woodstock, over the years it has been dwindling and now looks like it is over. Last year was very thin, thought the weather was in play, apparently not so cause this year was clear. Some bad things were happening to the little kids, nasties put into goodies. The last 3 years they would tell the parents to inspect the goodies before indulging. I always thought that was a bandage on a problem. I remember when I was out there, I ate as much as I collected, and my bag was always half empty by the time I got home.
Glad to here big city has not reach your area..
Great looking kids Dave. Bet you had some fun with them last night.
We had the lowest turnout of Trick or Treaters last night then we have had for many years - maybe 20 and after last year, surprising as there were over 100 and they cleaned us out (anyone need about a bag and 3/4s of junk 'food'?).
There's a few of us still do our Friday afternoon visit at one of the nursing homes here in town. Always at coffee time, and many of the residents gather in the dining room for afternoon coffee. We usually join in the card games, bingo, or whatever the afternoon's fun is.... Lisha goes with us occasionally, as well as a few of the other's grandkids. We all have a good time. Been doing this ever since I moved to town and it truly is a rewarding and often humbling experience!!! When we bring kids with us, the residents always seem to perk up a bit... Lisha has a lot of adopted Grandma's and Grandpa's there, Lexi will soon be old enough to come with us, too! It isn't much, I know. But it's something easily done and I would highly suggest it for others to try!!! Just a couple hours once a week isn't that big of a deal.... Of all those we've taken with us for a coffee time visit, my dog "Pepper" is the one always most welcomed!!!!
