Fugly cars!!!
Some were outcasts... some were VERY popular... and some just never discussed that much... but when you really look at them...
.....THEY WERE FUGLY!
I have a few "nominees".... but I'll start by listing a car that remained a loooooong term classic. The VW beetle!
Think about it. Would you describe it as...."sleek", beautiful", or "sporty"??? Is it really even cute??? ...And yet we embraced them, and sales were strong for decades! :-)
Lots of reasons why, I suppose.
WHAT WOULD YOU CLASSIFY AS "FUGLY"???

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Little consolation for the Pacer--
At least the front cross member, suspension & steering can be used in 48-55 first series Chevy trucks.. The rear end with 4link type suspension too
Little consolation... ;-)

The two Dave posted are high on the list, but the all time champ has to be the last car on Pepi attachment...............the Pontiac Aztek!!
Who in their right mind designed that!? Who in their right mind approved it for production!? And.....most of all......who in their right mind would ever buy such a disjointed mess!?????? That thing makes a two bagger look gorgeous!!! Not even beer goggles would help!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Yeah, Bob, I so agree!!! I've detested that car from the first day I laid eyes on it!!! I've described it as excrement from the Chevy Avalance of the same era, which was also hideous, in my opinion. The Avalance has since been refined to not be quite so "fugly" but the Aztec??? Argh!! However, it is the perfect car for Mr. White on "Breaking Bad"......"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

I may upset a few with this one! This car became the symbol for over-styling! Maybe it survived that public rejection, only because the brand was a already the symbol of over-indulgence. ...but it really does fit the "fugly" catagory in my mind.
I'm sure Elvis liked it!!!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
