I saw a very cool, very radical Peterbilt street truck in the San Francisco area a few years back, motoring down the street out near Oakland airport. Single rear axle, big aluminum "keg" fuel tank behind the cab, dropped down in the weeds and wicked paint. One of those "Hey, look at that!!" moments when the camera's in the never-ready state.... Could be a cool ride, done right.
That Kenworth is a big toy! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
Roger,
that wasn't "Sneaky Pete" by the Blastolene Brothers, was it? At least is sounds somewhat similar.
You think it takes big $$$$ to do a car, wait till you get going on one of them!!!! Used to own, drive, and maintain my own, no cheap undertaking at all!!!!!!
But then that's never stopped any of us before, so have fun!!!!
plus all the parts are heavy-----------
the detroit 6-71 w/13 speed was the deal maker
Also curious to see what a person does with a semi! Sounds awesome though,
I'll date myself a bit here.... First truck I hauled hay with was a '67 Pete with an 8V92 Detroit and a 5X4 two sticker!!!! Never had to worry about people stealing it, nobody knew how to shift it!!!!!:LOL::LOL: When someone asked what kind of transmission the truck had I told them it had a Haulmark Transmission, a gear for every occasion!!!!!!
i am going to use it! lots of good short runs al over back home to make a little extra money on the weekends etc
or might even bring it up here next year and run north dakota with it.
That's cool you got it but where are the pics? I'd like to find one to put on a newer chassis and make a hauler out of it.
I see now you're being practical. I thought you might make it into a hot rod. But in any case, I love big trucks.
Back about 30 years or so there was a small K/W (about 1/2 size one) running around in Chicago. Don't recall the engine but think it was an old olds diesel.
Post some pics if you get it!
