Our 2013 was light. Probably only did around 2000 or maybe 2500. Not sure what you mean by "...farther than your zip code."
57 Plymouth: 4000 Mile round trip to Ill and back and probably 750 miles local.
83 El Camino: 4000 Mile round trip to Il and back and 3000 Miles local give or take.
.
Slow year for me, just 20 short trips totaling 10 miles, 1/4 mile down, 1/4 mile back. Oh yeah, then a few more miles playing in the dirt, 10 laps in a non-winged sprinter!!!!
0, sitting in the shed waiting for repairs. :-(
I did about 40 in the Corvette since it isn't licensed right now, and 0 in the 40. I drove my 72 about 250 before tearing it apart again.
Actually did about 50 in the old Chevy.. Taking it out tomorrow if the weather holds out.
Don't really know, but I'd say about 5-6000 in the '47 Ford, and about the same in the Morris Minor
But only 100 or so in the Cobra.
i pulled inderweed out of the shed with my tractor , does that count ????
Sure does Shine, That's farther than sum of the so-called hotrodders !
What did you mean, "...farther than your zip code", Don, just going far enough to get out of your home zip? That happens every time we go to town in a metro area......
Well, my '37 has been driven 0 miles for the last 6 years as it's still in pieces in my garage.....:(
My '66 F100, which I'm also going to classify as a "Rod" of sorts gets 8-9000/yr as my daily driver. It definitely gets out of my zip code but haven't crossed the state line yet in the 5 years I've owned it but with the EFI 5.0/AOD transplant this last year, I feel a few road trips coming on....;)
Not pokin fun or lookin down my nose @ any1, just that I know a few that won't drive their car more than 10-20 miles from home as they are afraid something might happen to it.
I'll call them type "ZipCode Hotrodders.
Knew a few when I lived in AZ that would trailer their cars to Scottsdale/Phoenix for a function from Prescott.
It's was only 100 miles down the hill fir christ sake.
i hate sitting here and typing in a long winded reply then hitting the reply button and my post goes away ..i drive my stang about 25 miles on my favorite cruise lap but it never is more than 10 miles in any one direction from home .. i have had to walk home several times because of it .. the pintos are no problem .. i still cruise them in the dead of winter ..there is no one to show off in front of but the drive is still fun ...
