already have a new engine harness ordered i dont like rat's nests. also a headlight switch and some sheet metal pieces. its also got a set of headers on it, bonus!
Saw one of those at a show last summer but it had a built 383 SBC sitting midships where the back seat is now.... I expect it's a handful to drive, but fun!!
You just need a polihed billet radiator recovery tank for those corvairs to make them show winners
Neat little cars, just don't overdrive the turns! I had a '64 many moons ago, fun to drive and really good traction in yucky weather. They're used to be some really neat speed parts out for them, would be fun to find a nice one just for a driver toy again some day!!!

looks like a good place to put a big block in for a back seat driver. my mom had a gold one ran great in the snow and one hell of a good heater in it . granddad love them cars must of had over 20 of them and could tell were he parked them they leaked abit of oil . the valve covers leaking were a common deal with them

Saw this car today and took some pics altho I always have trouble trying to down size and post them--but if you want I'll try or will email them
I had a '62, but not for long. The engine, trans and rear suspension went into my '61 VW. I changed the engine to a turbo model and did the chrome myself. In it's last incarnation, I was running 27 psi of boost with water injection. The engine is still being used, back in my home town but without the turbo.
I also made the carburetor manifold from a solid block of aluminum, on a Bridgeport mill in my high school shop. I ran a Rochester 4-barrel to start with, but later changed to a 500 cfm 2-barrel.
