At the start of WWII the US had a standing military of less then 300,000 personnel and a very low industrial output of military equipment. Gearing up production, the draft, scrap metal and rubber drives, fuel rationing and many other things were essential. Not so today...we have military personnel stationed around the world, we have aircraft that can take off from their US bases, bomb any target in the world, and return to their home base. We have stockpiles of conventional and nuclear weapons stored all over the world. The last thing this country needs to do is get involved in the Ukraine conflict----someone tell me who's side we should be on, and what is our position on the issues? Or, for that matter, what are the issues that directly, indirectly, or even remotely effect the safety or well being of the US??
Not our country, not our continent, not our war, and none of our business to try to influence the outcome. Bring our troops home, secure our own borders, cut the military budget to a common sense level, and let's get this country employed, economically sound, and back on the path of Liberty and Justice for All.......
