Is there any one else out there experiencing a severe slowdown and general lag in this site?
I know I've seen (and experienced) more duplicated posts then I ever remember!
I can't even open half the threads!!:mad::mad:
I've dumped the cache, cleaned the cookies changed my home page, walked the dog, drank a beer and it only times out! :p:mad::p:mad::p:mad::HMMM:
This is getting sickening!:eek:
Any time it starts lagging I close out, reboot the computer and it seems to be better. Edit - after posting this I found that the system was down to a crawl and re-booting did nothing. I'd been gone most of the day and hadn't seen the problem early in the day....
It's not just you, Mike! I'm experiencing the same thing. It's only on CHR and it gets a little frustrating. Not sure what's going on.....:confused::confused:
Its really been dragging today. Sometimes it so slow to change pages my computer just says no and I get a loading error page. Thought it was my old POC cpu but guess not this time?
Yes, and I'm not certain what is going on.....Way above my level of clearance at this point.
I have sent out a 911 to Brent on this thread though. Maybe he'll chime in with a solution.

For what it's worth, I clicked on this thread to check the update and waited 60 seconds, got nothing! Closed it and clicked on it again. Waited 60 MORE seconds and still got nothing! Gave up and went to another forum that performed perfectly. Then came back after 10 or 15 minutes and tried again. Still waited another 60+ seconds and it finally went to the thread. Each additional function requires additional wait time......Yep, I'd say there's a problem....:eek::eek::)
My apologies guys, I have restarted services on the server, and have done some general cleanup this evening....lets see what it yields.
Oh, I actually found a problem just now and addressed that. Things should be a fair bit better now.

Thanks to the Mods!! Just posting that yesterday took 3 hours! No stretch of any imagination!! And after it posted, I was stuck and no amount of shutting down and logging back in etc. helped....
Seems to be normal now tho'! So thanks again!!
I only spend a very few minutes on here each day because you can get through all the new threads or posts in just a few minutes, then you're done. There is just an insufficient amount of traffic on this site to keep you here for any length of time. Other sites, such as the HAMB can keep you going indefinitely with new stuff to read.Quote:

Dunno about you guys,,but I'm having similar problems,,again.. Sometimes I can get onto a page,,other times I can't.. sometimes I hit the''reply with quote'' button,,and it won't answer.. Well,,got on here this morning,,and now,I can't post any of those little smilies to any posts,,when I put my cursor on the ''TOP'' box at the bottom of the page,another large box opens up,and displays options,,but,,,I can now hit the ''reply with quote'' button,,and that pops up almost immediately,,instead of thinking about it for three minutes,and then telling me that the page is not available......PLUS...this morning,,I only have the narrow page available,,,,if I click on the arrow to make the page wider,,the page comes up and tells me that I am using someone elses account,and to sod off...,So,,I hit the home button,,and it reverts back to narrow page format again.. I have just logged into google chrome to do this edit,,and it's no better on here.. Getting a bit annoyed....ggrrrrrrrrrrrrr...Quote:

There is a nasty malware going around called conduit and it will hijack your browser and send you to all kind of weird places. I downloaded Spy Hunter and it took care of it and a bunch of other junk. That could be your problem. And no, I'm not endorsing Spy Hunter, it's just what I used.
