NASCAR at Martinsville

The good news is that Sprint Cup Qualifying is in progress and Martinsville, bad news is that Fox has the TV coverage.........

The worst news is that I missed it all as I have to re-assemble my uncles 48 F-1.. he's coming back from Florida and expects to have a pickup to ride around in! Sheesh...

Maybe I'll get time to catch some of the race...

And Kurt Busch wins it!! That's right! I said Kurt Busch!:LOL::LOL::LOL: LOL.. JJ was fading away after leading the most laps.

Jimmy must have run the tires off the thing, he sure didn't have anything left for Kurt the last few laps! That's two wins for Stewart-Haas!!

Yep, he admitted it after the race. Later last night they did the truck race, lotsa banging and beating on each other! Tempers flaring both on and off the track.

Dang, forgot it was going to be on!!! Watched the Cup race and went out in the garage for awhile....who won, anyway???

Some one I never heard of! LOL... but it was entertaining with a few restarts in a row then the green white checkers! And he was hanging on with only his fingertips!

Well, it is the oldest track on the circuit and probably the average speeds were lower when it was built, but now it seems like the track was made for destruction. How anyone can pass without spinning the car in front requires a lot of care. I don't see any difference when FOX has the race since the crew is the same. The tech topics on the chassis and engine are always neat and informative. I am not surprised at the tire wear considering the extreme tire angles for better cornering and the acceleration from about 4900 rpm to over 9400 rpm with a 6.5 ratio rear are truly amazing as to engine life, simply amazing. It's almost like doing TWO 1/8 mile drags every lap! I was surprised Keselowski was teed off after he tried to squeeze out of the pits, it was really tight at that end of the pits. Even so, really entertaining if you are not a driver!
