And on a much happier note............

The wife & I got an unexpected & unannounced visit from these three yesterday. Couldn't have came at a better time. Happy Tears were flowing :CRY: Danielle kept tell Joe, "We should call your mom & dad to let them know we're coming. Joe told her that I couldn't get mad in any way shape or form because we have been playing the "Gotta" Game for the past 35 plus years. We would just show up for an unannounced visit w/us only knowing that those we wanted to see would be at home.
Can't count the number of times the tears had flowed & the smiles couldn't be wipe off when one of us would just show up for a visit. My Aunt Katie always told me that the 3 times that myself, Denise & Joe,Jr showed up out of the blue for a visit(Far NW Iowa) was the best presents she ever could have gotten, which meant a hellva lot to me.
So I pass the torch to our son & his family & he made me proud by making his mom & dad very happy yesterday morning :3dSMILE: :3dSMILE:

Now that story has brought a tear to my eye. I hope they stay awhile and that the gap between visits isn't too long . That little fella looks a darling little bloke.

Thanks everyone, they are here till Monday BUT then I would have taken only ONE day if that was all I was given. They came to visit us & the rest of the family & Joe wanted to visit his grandmother in the hospital. She has been very ill & in the hospital for the past 2weeks. I haven't been this happy in months.........joe

I'm so glad for you, sounds like a fun time. I read that you visited NW Iowa, I am about as far in the NW corner of Ia as you can get. Small world.

We are out in Soldier or Castana Iowa several times a year.

you get real close to me, Looks like you get about an hour south of Sioux City and I am about an hour north of Sioux City. Maybe I can get Dave S to drive south and you to drive North and we can all meet someday.Should work good for me cause I'm right in the middle :)
