A big THANKS goes out to ALL that gave their time and some that gave their life so that we can live free everyday, A thanks goes out to all the familys too for letting them do what they took a stand for... Without them, We would be nothing..THANK YOU ALL...

Ditto everyone's sentiments, and a hearty thank you to all of you who serve, have served or have passed to another peaceful place. I'd also like to thank my eldest brother for his continuing service in the Army, for almost 25 years now. His dedication to this country and protecting our freedoms that we enjoy make me proud every day!

On this most special day, this video, Path of a Warrior, seems fitting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=JKqT0-3JV5E

Roger, IMHO, that has to be the best post of 2014 so far. After watching the National Memorial Day Concert (Twice) last night and seeing those "few" survivors of the Normandy Invasion up on stage my eyes had finally begun to dry up until that Video. In these fast paced high tech times we live in, we (I) need to be reminded of just who, what and why we are here doing what we do. Thanks, Em

Per protocol, I brought my flag to half-mast at midnight. . .

. . . and raised it to full staff at noon today.

I am old enough to remember when Memorial Day was called Decoration Day. Both of my grandfathers were cemetery sextons, and I spent many Decoration Days placing flags on Veterans' graves. I hoist a glass to those who gave all so that we are free today.

That's a beautiful front presentation, Jack, and I like the Navy Jack, too!!

Thanks, Roger. My dad was Navy, WWII, Pacific, and I worked for USN for 11 years. I've been flying that 1st Navy Jack ever since it was reinstated after 9/11.
