My name is easy to understand after seeing the picture... Just an easy name to type and not everyone has one..
mine's pretty simple
my names mark and I'm sharp as a tack!!!
.
When my wife was pregnant we decided that if it was a boy his first and middle name would be August Mariner. We had a girl, I liked the name so now I use it on the web.
It explains itself, it's the number of vehicles I have owned over the past 40 plus years....joe

.
Mine is no mystery. When I first got on forums it was mainly diesel truck stuff. So I'm on other forums as Dieselwrencher. I didn't think that really fit on a hot rod site, so I chose my oldest favorite pain in the ass.
That is exactly what I tell friends who suggest I sell my T Bucket and BMW daily driver for a compact japanese pregnant roll skate with a 1300 engine trying to drive an auto to save on fuel costs. I reply everytime telling them to pull their heads in as the arabs are still making oil and there is still fossil fuel to be burnt so no way would I be doing that. On a side note, I live not far from one of NZ's oldest race circuits and last weekend the wind was blowing the right way while the muscle cars had a club meeting, now the neighbours get a bit annoyed listening to the noise but me, I love it all day long. The sound of a V8 under full pedal heading down the back straight can't be bettered.
Exactly. I can't replace the roar of my old 472 I had, or the several 383's and 388s. Being in the diesel scene for so long, the sound just isn't the same.
Any more willing to expose themselves?
I'm a New Zealander "kiwi" and guess I dream to much about cars etc :-) nothing exciting.
Everything is a result of a dream or a thought . Dream Big and Often then act on it! Can you really dream too much about cars? Thanks for posting up and joining in. Dig the name BTW. :D
Well mine should be no problem its my name
Or and Alias ?
Mine is a long story that goes back to birth! I had an Italian Dad who wanted to name me Stephano. Mom said no, that she liked Steven. Long of it Dad compromised with Stevens. Well the name has haunted me for over 50 years now. Back in my marine Biology days, and former roommate laughed at Stevens and came up with the nick name Stove one night while drinking in the Florida keys. It evolved into stovens and stuck with my marine bio friends. When I joined up here I was tired and just typed it in, never figuring I'd be on here 7 years later. On other truck forums I had a little more energy and came up with StevoF1 which just blends another nick name with my truck.
I struggled long and hard over my name, was called many names in my youth and most of them would fail the mods test here:rolleyes:. So the choice just first name and last name initial.:LOL:
Good stuff here guys... I for one enjoy knowing the origin of your names. I look at some of locations your from and wonder what part of the world your in. It forces me to do a search so Im getting my geography lessons at the same time. Thanks for joining in on this. Issaquah looks like a great place to be a hot Rodder, Im digging the old shell gas station and trolly!
Hell Robin, now I gotta clean the rice bubbles and coffee off the key board. I didn't even pickup on "exposure" comment like you did but now have so I pull me pants up and sit down.
I too enjoy getting onto Goggle Earth thingy and entering some of the names of places where members live so as to get a idea of what the territory is like etc. It helps to understand when one mentions how deep the snow is or as a friend in Phoenix will put up a street name and the name of an old building of interest and most times with using street view I can have a look around. Amazing what one can do with these new fantangled contraptions...
Standin on a corner in Winslow Arizona......... ;) ;)
MT, yes, Issaquah is a good place for Hot Rodders:), just wish more were CHR members. Uncle Bob is one of our outstanding nearby residents;). After our move to the Boise area I hope to recruit some new members from Idaho.:) Maybe some of our Idaho members would like to chime in.:HMMM:;):D
Jack.
Looking at Jackson Brown
