The best crap to do is go to your local drag strip and beat up on foreign cars with an 8400lb F350. If they did beat you just ask them to hook up a 5000lb trailer and try it again. They decline.
There's fast everything out there and that's what's bad ass about our country. A little of everything. I totally agree being different is the key though.

just like riding a harley . i dont care how fast your buzz saw is it still sounds like crap.

I do have to admit that alot of tuners out there are fast. But one thing they all are lacking is style. You can't even begin to compare any tuner car to a 70 Chevelle, or a 69 Charger, 69 Camaro,68 Mustang fastback, . Just think back to the late 60's and early 70's muscle cars. These tuners all look like a bar of soap in shape, no style to them IMO.

I guess maybe they're today's hot rodders, but it would be a lot more palatable if they were all driving Mustangs, Camaro's and Challengers.....

Its just we have so many Camaros and Mustangs around here. I've been battling them since the 80's and still to this day. Their fast and American made so that's good. We have Ford Day at our drag track. 200 Mustangs, and a couple rare Fords. Same at Chevy day but not as bad. 100 Camaros,50 Malibus,50 Novas,50 Chevelles and 50 Corvettes and and a few rare Chevys. Dare to be different.

The thing that gets me about "New era hot rods" is that anyone can go buy a nice one to start with, throw on a "tuner" and pay some one to go bolt on some other pieces, and now it's a hot rod? But, on the other hand, a lot of people just can't do a lot of things needed to restore or build an old car or truck. So when I see these newe rides, I still look at them and give the owner if they are near a compliment. IMO if people don't continue to buy the new stuff and mod it, this hobby will be extinct when all you old school guys are gone................

Don't have to be fast, to be COOL... Just give me some of that Old Time Rock-N-Roll!
