No matter what he said or would have said, the msm would have hammered him for it unlike all the passes that were provided to the mulatto.
first off liberals dont believe in the constitution or free speech . you never post anything of much value , mostly just drivel to stir the pot . just like on hr.com . even that liberal bunch got tired of you. but by all mean post away so maybe soon we wont have to see you here either.
Down through history lands have been invaded and conquered and to the victors went the spoils. Both the Aztecs and Inca's were no match for the invading Europeans and their civilizations were more advanced than any of the native Americans and that is a fact of life in no matter what context it's viewed. With a few exceptions the United States doesn't keep land it has conquered which has gotten us in to some of the problems we face today. We should have kept Canada and Central America and there would have been no need for NAFTA.
The liberal voices heard on college campuses today is a glaring example of the left's position on free speech and appear to be the same as many left leaning politicians with the worst examples being Schumer, Pelosi and the ever present "Mad" Maxine Waters.
Evolvo, could we just stop with the verbal jousting for a minute and take a look at the big picture? I have been very curious as to what the ultimate agenda of folks like you is. Just exactly what is it that you want? Do you want this country to be governed by a Socialist government or by a Communist government or what exactly do you see as the ideal form of government for America? If Socialism is your cup of tea, then you have to look no further than Venezuela. Take a good look at that regime. See how the people have nothing to eat and are scrounging for food out of garbage dumps? Is that your idea of perfect? For Communism, take a look at Cuba. Doctors there have quit doctoring because they can make more money driving a cab. Does that sound ideal to you? Please tell the rest of us how you would form the new government if you had the power to do to. What form of government you would like to see these United States of America turned into, rather than our Representative Democracy that has served us so well for over 240 years and is still serving well, the people who determine to educate themselves, obey the law and work hard.
Also, I am very, very, very tired of hearing people calling anyone who loves the red, white and blue or who voted for President Trump, a racist. It seems to be the buzz word for those of who have insufficient education to express themselves. Seriously Evolvo, please step up to the plate and illucidate, what is it that you want?

Besides Cuba---------back in the late 80s early 90s, flying into Mexico City quite often---------seemingly high level of humanity--------cabs were being driven by doctors and lawyers because nobody had enough money for medical issues and no one or corporations had enough money to make anybody wealthy through court actions--------don't waste money on a lawyer to sue some one because they ain't got enough $$$$$$$to make it worth while------
There gov and local/national $$$$$$$$$$$ aren't about taxes, but about cartels and coruption
I'm not Jerry but if he said he flew into Mexico City and relating his experience you can bet your ass it's true.
Mexicans have been in this country before it was a country but that doesn't excuse the current crop who undercut American wage earners and are on the government teat. As far as muslims go, If they are a practicing muslim, and most are, and follow the koran their goal in life is to eliminate the infidel by whatever means it takes. I become downright bigoted with someone who wants to see me dead.
As per usual you show your ass by assuming something that is not true. I never said I was beneath that type of work, both of my grandparents were farmers as was one of my uncles. Farming was never my cup of tea but I tried my hand at many aspects of it including milking cows which I could never get the hang of.
Mexicans have been harvesting crops in california since Christ was a corporal, but after Cesar Chavez organized the workers thing got a little testy and of course the producers, otherwise known as the land owners, will pay only as much as they are forced to pay irregardless of who harvests the crop/s.
I do not have a problem with hard workings folks no matter their skin color, but I do take exception to the lazy entitled crowd and those who support them.
Chavez saw a need where there was a void and he filled it and made things better for the migrant worker and screwed everyone else in the process. The key word in that sentence is "migrant worker". Years ago they came from Mexico for the season and then returned home until they found that california offered the best welfare benefits of all the states so they became year round "migrant workers." Then they started demanding more and more of their hosts and that more or less is the situation california is in today and will remain that way until the people who pay the bills have had enough or leave.
The article you posted for the most part is "cherry picked" and I don't believe the claims against Walmart and the rest is about minimum wage earners. If one is too stupid to be able to attain only a minimum wage position or entry level job then maybe they should try a college education so they can apply at Enterprise Car Rental.
Most Americans do indeed feel manual labor is beneath them. Particularly generation snowflake whom feels any job without a direct compute interface is contemptible.
There are solutions! The homeless populations could be put to work in the harvests. Inmates could be utilized. Social programs such as food stamps could have a minimum work requirement (imagine the howls the left will eminate, forcing people to work the harvest if they want free food).
But, nothing will change until we evict the criminal labor force.
Getting most of the homeless to work will be a good one. Granted there are homeless people that do need help, and will work once they get on the right path. But most of them live that life style because that is what they want to do. Nothing, anytime and any where. They play the system and are proud of it. We have homeless that live behind one of our buildings at work and dealing with them over the years sure gives a person a different perspective on it.
My son was a manager at a local store. They had people go to work that would quit near the end of the year. Sometimes as early as Sept or Oct. This happened just about every year with different employees. The store would have to hire more people around about this time.
Come to find out, they knew exactly how much money they could make and still get the earned income credit refund on their taxes. I think that's about $10,000 plus most of everything else that they paid in during the year. Of course these people were also getting low income assistance like EBT and WIC so they would go bum a place to stay for a few months and wait for a big government check in Jan.
How do I know this? Because my son asked one of them and they told him. Something to the effect of "why should I work for you when the government will pay me anyhow?". That is one of the main reasons that we have to hire illegals to do work that used to be done by lower educated folks. The "citizens" are collecting enough social money that they don't have to take that work any more. This is one of the main problems with any system that, whether intended or not, rewards people for not working.
Why should they work? Most of them are from low income and low educated families that have been doing the same type of thing for 2 or 3 generations. They have no concept of the dignity of work and would have hard time understanding it, because they have never really seen it in their families. They feel that they are much smarter than everyone else because they get away with it.
To me, that is the definition of "Gaming the system" which according to most liberals, doesn't really happen except in the minds of conservatives and other racist types. Hang around any area that has a lot of low income folks and you will see it more than you want to.
A sad and sorry state we have come to in this country. Freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution include free expression and actions that are fundamental to a democratic form of government. We all have freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech. The manner in which some professional athletes (who are by the way well compensated for their services and certainly enjoy a lifestyle few in America will ever see) is, by some measure, a way to identify with and protest what they believe to be gross social injustice. It is an insult to other Americans. If you’re in agreement –by all means enjoy. If you do not like it, there are several options. You can turn off the TV, record the first few minutes and fast forward, or just boycott professional sports and work on your hot rod.
I’m personally put off with this nonsense and I believe that our President needs to focus on other stuff – like the little rocket man.
Now, I think I’ll go replace an intake manifold and tune up the truck!
Regards all and thank God I live in America.

I hear ya - Joanie and I have two very precious adopted girls - from Kenya. They're seniors in high school and have lived with us for three years. We have a lot of interesting homework discussion, re; US History and around their civics class this year. As you can see - they look just like our other kids!!
I believe the great majority of Americans believe "all lives matter" and are appalled by the mistreatment of anyone at the hands of crooked law enforcement and yes, I know there are some who bring the trouble on themselves. The media fuels the fire with selective reporting to such an extent that it's impossible for me to really know (in Portland) what happens in Baltimore.
We'd have a lot more in common that not and a discussion over coffee would reveal kindred spirits. We can agree to disagree, but from what I read of your posts, "...we could work it out..."
Weld up a storm my friend!!
Glenn
No matter what anyone thinks the president, no matter of party affiliation, enjoys the same rights as everyone else. Other than calling all of them "sons of bitches", actually I can think of far better descriptive terms, he was right on the money. Personally I'm going to enjoy watching both the nba and the nfl go down the toilet.
it's not what they are doing but rather when they are doing it. fans didn't pay to come to the stadium and be offended . protest all you want but just not on my dime. but then i dont really watch sports. my bride watches just to torture me . now if the cowboys hit the knee i will not have to suffer through it any more . she'll turn it off .
From a Brietbart article:
"The NFL rule book specifically requires both teams appear on the field for the playing of the anthem, standing, remaining quiet,*and holding their helmets in their left hands. Failure to do so can result in fines, suspensions, and the loss of draft picks.*
The rules are found on pages A62-63 of the league’s*game operations manual:
The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. *It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."
I say, where are the fines?
I have contacted USAA and requested that USAA discontinue advertising through the NFL given that the players standards do not reflect those of USAA's members/clients.
Well it seems that a lot of team owners would beg to differ and their rules are what they go by. I bet there will be rules in the NFL books soon though!
No, it's not "fake news", but it is worded poorly, as is the Snopes response. The "Rules" of the game deal with the flow of the game, penalties, and issues that are controlled by the referees, umpires, etc. The NFL's Game Operations Manual deals with everything else involved in the production of the event, including addressing the concept of fines for teams, players and even owners, and the statement from pages A62 and 63 is correct as written. If it were that the USA were a contributing sponsor to the NFL, we wouldn't have the problem. Anyone not showing due respect to the flag during the National Anthem would have been out of the game, or paying for their bad decision.
DIRECTV has amended its rules, allowing refunds on Sunday NFL lineup, provided the customer cite players protest as reason.
The sponsors are pulling out!
In 2009, Barack Obama's Department of Defense began paying hundreds of thousands towards teams in a marketing strategy designed to show support for the troops and increase recruitments. The NFL then required all players and personnel to be on the sidelines during the national anthem, in exchange for taxpayers dollars. Prior, the national anthem was played in the stadium but players had the option of staying in the locker room before heading out to the field.
Furthermore, teams that showed "Veteran's Salutes" during games were paid upwards of $5.1 million dollars. In total, 6.8 million in taxpayer money was doled out to sports teams - mostly NFL teams - for so-called "paid patriotism."
Zero hedge-
Came across this on facebook.......interesting.......

The only thing that might save America now would be civil war, with the patriots winning.

i'll help with bail tech .
While your land of the free statement is true as I see it, I don't think taking a knee is what it's saying with the Home of the Brave. I would call that more of a protest of not getting your way. I would take the gamble that there isn't one of those guys taking a knee during our anthem that has ever enlisted in any armed force or any other underpaid job that may involve any sort of sacrifice for their country. Sacrifice, I would say that is more of what it means with the Home of the Brave.Quote:
And if you're afraid to take a knee when it's played you don't live in "The home of the brave"
It ws always a very sombering thing to pilot a flight that was flying home one of those flag draped coffins for there last time--------
On this road trip we took over the last week and half-----Flight 93 site in Pa,Gettysburg, Philly for Liberty Bell, Consitution and Declaration ------Wash DC for Mt. Verdan, Arlington National Cemetary for changing of the guard plus wreath laying for flight of honor guys, JFK family grave site, (some sites/monuments closed for restoration-Iwo Jima and others) drive around DC, Air and Space Museum( on Saturday so parking available) Montocello--------
It was a week of get up, brakfast and get going----respect, respect, respect-----
you can not instill pride or patriotism in a socialists who's only goal is to destroy the constitution and the country.
I've got a huge problem with this! If this is how you truly feel then I'll help buy a ticket on a slow boat across the pond for you to get the fu*k out! Standing for the national anthem is more about respect for the flag and those who have lost their lives fighting to protect the freedoms we do have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it weren't for them we wouldn't have the rights and privileges we do have. You sure love the freedom of speech one. Where I come from, you're free to say what you want until someone shuts you up. All these people want to bit*h and moan about millennials, anyone stop and think that these whiny ass people crying about all of this sh*t instead of working hard and achieving goals on your own, raised these millennials?
Or how about all of the veterans and people that are serving to keep evil away? You don't believe kneeling for the National Anthem doesn't bother them? To me that is a huge slap in the face from these kneelers. If you want to make a statement, there are better ways. Especially for a multi million making professional!
I don't totally agree with Trump's words or actions all the time, but don't disrespect the country while trying to prove who's lives matter. That isn't the time or place IMO!
I believe you got your cage rattled and I guarantee you that you're far from alone. As far as I'm concerned this sums it up perfectly.

any post by evolvo is the same. it would be nice to have an ignore list like other sites. dont let him upset you just consider the source . he will push it until he is banned here too . actually i find him rather amusing .
Let's keep it on an even keel, and discuss this topic with civility.
My greatest issue with this issue is that their object of protest doesn't match the topic.
Now, let's say the government declared martial law, and deployed troops, barracking them in private homes. For that, protesting the National Anthem would make sense. But it makes no sense to protest the Anthem as a means of protesting police brutality.
Now if they really wanted to fix the problem, they could invest their millions to convince the communities to embrace lawfulness.
If people obey the law, not resist arrest, they don't get brutalized by the police.
How 'bout those Houston Astros! Playing some real fine baseball this year. I think they got the American League this year..
We're strangers in your country; but on various trips we too have visited many of these sites.
Another site we visited was to show that eternal vigilance is needed to protect what you Americans have from those who would seek to destroy it.
The Alfred P Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
That was very emotional.
Americans: What you have is extremely valuable.
Guard it.
Don't let the haters like Timothy McVeigh destroy it.
And as for evolvo...if I owned the ocean I wouldn't give him even a wave.
I think most of you would enjoy reading this thread from Post 1 again--
Denny, I got some pics -if i email them to you could you get them on here???
