i was a mod on sr.com for 10 years. no one knew . when needed a post or thread just simply disappeared . we just deleted anything offensive but didn't get carried away. i think it always works best for mods to be anonymous then it never gets personal. it does take up a lot of time to watch over all the post.
I agree 100% Shine. If a moderator is anonymous, then he/she can continue to enjoy the forum as a member, with no one knowing that they are also moderating the day to day traffic. If a person is taking on the moderator task to enjoy being seen as the authority figure, then IMO they are in it for the wrong reasons, and they shouldn't be a moderator. Keeping the title anonymous only makes good sense, again IMO.Quote:
